Located just off the runway in Manchester (but not too noisy) is this renovated inn & conference center where you expect Bob Newhart to greet you at the desk. Cozy fireplace in the lobby. Beautiful setting. So much better than the Holiday Inn.

The lobby has a doublesided woodburning fireplace with comfy chairs and a bookcase of books to read. Very homey. Not what I expected for a hotel so close to the airport. The continental breakfast was very good (make your own waffles, fresh fruit, hardboiled eggs, plus the usual continental. Very nice. Room service was very prompt (asked for additional pillows).

I drove down to the Highlander the night before a flight to avoid bad weather forecasted. I spoke by phone to the front desk. They were most helpful, and inviting then, and when I arrived....Graciious, friendly, fun. They also knew their jobs and business. Most helpful. The room was adequate, clean, and quiet. The park and ride shuttle service was excellent, prompt, and responsive both for departure and return, and cheaper than the airport lot. It is also a two minute trip to the airport. If you want convenience and an adequate place for a very reasonable place, the Highlander at Manchester is for you.

We were able to visit friends and family in the area without being a burden to them. The hotel shuttle service allowed our family to get back to their routine without worrying about getting us to the airport on time.

Trash under bed. Bed uncomfortable no extra pillows and a cold shower in the morning. Staff were friendly, but not helpful. Will not stay here again.

We only stayed one night before we left for Orlando, Fla. but it was very nice. The rooms were clean & quiet. The restaurant was superb & the service great. Everyone was friendly & helpful. The airport is just around the corner & we were able to leave the car for the week & it was quite safe. We plan on making this hotel the jumping off point for all our travels.

The location close to the airport, makes it very practical. Rooms were clean, and very quiet. We didn't hear any noise. Maybe because we were alone. Ha! HA!

I was concluding a 2 week vacation in New England and needed a place near the airport for an early flight out. I hauled my huge bag out of my car and to the front desk, only to find that I was given a room in the "other" building. Had to bring my uggage all the way back to car and reload and drive to other building. My room was on the second floor. No elevator. I'm an athlete, I have no problem climbing stairs. But my luggage, which held 2 weeks worth of clothing, was another issue. There was no one to help. Very tiny staircases and winding hallways. Put me in a bad frame of mind to start. Then when I finally settle in my neighbors show up. Walls are paper thin. I could hear every conversation, tv show, phone call, shower...in several rooms all night long. I am not hard to please. But this was a horrible experience. Horrible!

There were no comfortable chairs or work tables in the room.

What a beautiful spot for an Inn. The front desk staff was slightly rude and not too welcoming. The room was fine...typical hotel room... not what the pictures boast. Close to Manchester Airport was a plus. Shuttle was promp and friendly. We personally ordered (face to face) our diinner at 8:00 p.m. from the dining room to be sent to our room. The dining room had only 2 guests at that time. The waitress told us that it would be only a maximum of 20 minutes. After 50 minutes, we went to the dining room to find out where our food was. Finally, the food arrived to our room with a wait time of 70 minutes. Food was just okay. Don't let them fool you... there is NO POOL or HOT TUB. That was removed a long time ago or so we were told. That was a disappointment. The continental breakfast was good with spectacular views of their property. We even saw hummingbirds as we ate. Quiet and relaxing. Over all, I would stay again because of location to Manchester airport, but would not order room service.

When we checked in, we were told our room was in another building. Since we were leaving before 5:00 am and had ample luggage, we opted to pay an upgrade and stay in the main building that had a King size bed. The room was spacious, well appointed and maintained. Everything you needed. Beautiful grounds and the employees were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The location was amazing and the 24 hour shuttle/airport parking were fantastic. The location was very pretty and the set up (kitchenette in the building we were staying in was a great idea) was cool. The rooms/decor looked a little worn but they were very clean and the staff was all super nice.

I only spent one night here, but it was quite nice. It was very quiet considering how close it is to the airport. The morning breakfast was sufficient if not extraordinary.

Had us staying in an annex building 100 yards from hotel. Second floor no elevator, small staircase. No remote for TV. Small rooms. Cold walk for something to eat at 20 degrees outside temperature. Food was good though.

The Hotel is poorly insulated between floors and between adjacent rooms. The location is poor and difficult to identify.

Very convienient and the parking while away for my trip was reasonable. Staff was great.

The hotel was very close to the airport and the shuttle service was excellent.

We arrived around 2:30AM and were late due to a 3 hour delay in flights. When we asked for an extended checkout, we were given an extra hour which was barely adequate. The hotel is fine for the price but I would probably not choose it again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Highlander Inn. The room was large with a king bed, and very clean with comfortable seating area and a lovely view of the grounds. We liked the fact that an airport shuttle was available and the hotel itself was close to the airport, yet quiet and the grounds were lovely and well maintained. The two-story stone fireplace in the lobby was interesting. We enjoyed the notebook in the room which contained the restaurant menu, described other amenities, and gave a history of the buildings and grounds. The restaurant was convenient and the atmosphere was quiet and personal. Food and Service were good. The Highlander was like a world by itself away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The historical feel of this building has been kept while all modern conveniences are used. We would definitely return to the Highlander when we have another occasion to visit the Manchester area.
