We spent about ten nights at the Amora Jamison, and because we were there for a relatively long time, we were given a free upgrade from a premium king to a park suite. I cannot say enough good things about the guest services (mainly the concierge and bellman staff); they are the most amicable and helpful people whom I have ever met in a hotel--and I have stayed in scores of hotels over the years. The staff at the Jamison appear to go out of their way to make you feel at home, and we were so grateful for that treatment--felt special, really. The location is ideal to shopping, the Circular Quay, the Rocks, and the Opera House, as well as outstanding restaurants. Finally, the price we got on Orbitz was fantastic for the quality and service we received! Without a doubt, we would recommend and return to the Amora Jamison Hotel in lovely, romantic Sydney.

My room was not cleaned until late in the day which was inconvenient. I went to the front desk about it and they gave me a complimentary drink card and followed up on what the problem was. They were training housekeeping staff and this delayed rooms being cleaned in a timely manner.

pathetic service, rude and unpleasant staff, strange room layout, lack of communication between staff and complete ignorance of customer care.

After a long flight from the US, I was very pleased to receive an offer to register at 8:00 am, rather than having to wait for normal afternoon check-in. Because no king rooms were available at that time, I willingly accepted a two twin room. The very nice trade off (in addition to the early check in) was a nice high floor, city view room - which given the excellent per night rate of $124, was quite nice. The only real negative was a late (by a half hour) wake up call - which could have had a costly outcome (cab vs bus shuttle), had I not also set the alarm clock.

Excellent. Best hotel we have stayed in Sydney for the price. Couldn't fault it- and we don't say that often.

Internet access via Blackberry was not widely available throughout the hotel.

My girlfriend and I arrived in Sydnet knowing the main hotels - all of which were booked out - I am so glad - we found a jewel that Sydney should stand up and applaud. Romantic, delightful, quiet yet close. This hotel made our trip - Well Done

Very elegant hotel, especially rooms. Very large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Excellent bed. Two very small problems in the room were repaired within (literally) minutes. Excellent location for major tourist and business sites in Sydney. Excellent staff. We strongly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a last minute replacement for unsatisfactory accommodations elsewhere. I can not speak highly enough of this hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are large, the bathrooms are first class, and the location is quiet yet close to everything you want or need. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic location for being able to walk to everything. Very central. Harbour views limited but pleasant. Beds really comfy. Shower was needing a scrub as it was starting to grow. Daughter of 10years loved it.

Good location. Spacious bathroom was a nice surprise: large, separate bathtub and shower (just the double doors being annoying).

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice, comfortable and within walking distance of the opera house, the rocks, and in the middle of downtown. The indoor pool was heavenly with jacuzzi and sauna. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable. Rooms all seem updated and quiet. Great location with reasonable price. In all, I would highly recommend staying here. You can even bood your tours with the front desk

Great Hotel! Great Service! Excellent Location. Just a few minutes walk to the Circular Quay where all the boats and Ferris depart as well as the subway/trams and the rocks distict etc.

The issue that I had with this hotel was that I thought room service was a bit on the expensive side (especially when you had to add in another $5 + dollars to get it delivered to your room), for food that was on the average side. However the major issue I had was in relation to the charges they levy for phone calls - had rather a nasty shock after making 2 phone calls and being hit with a $120 charge. The hotel should be more up front about their billing of calls and rates etc. All bills should also show the start and end time of calls, and total minutes as there is no way for a guest to verify that the charges are actually acurate. Overall enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but the bill for phone calls was definitely a downside.

Hotel was excellent, room was clean, although I expect the TV to be LCD and not CRT. bathroom was excellent the access card was annoying to use for the lift should be a wipe access and not inserting it in. plus there was 2 cards one for the lift and one for the room should be all. The seafood buffet was average expected more variety and they need to bring out more food, leave waiting for them to bring out more oysters. Breakfast was good in the jamison club room. Otherwise the hotel was very good
