I found the staff to be amongst the most welcoming I have encountered anywhere, and resolved to use this hotel whenever we stay in Sydney in future. Its proximity to Wynyard Station is an absolute bonus for travel to and from the airport or other city locatons.

We stayed here for three nights before flying out to our next destination. Everything was as advertised, probably a little better. The front desk staff was terrific with directions and very welcoming. The room was nicely sized and well-appointed although slightly dated but really not bad. For the money and the location this was a really great place to stay, right in the heart of the CBD! We felt very safe and comfortable walking around at night even late. Parking was convenient for our rental car although pretty pricey even with the hotel voucher (* weekdays/* weekends) but I guess it's to be expected in the CBD. We were just a little suprised. Public transportation would be a good option as there is a metro stop directly across the street from the hotel. By the way, presence of the metro stop across the street did not degrade the quality of the area as metro stations often can.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Straight off the train and there you were. No hassles easy to find. The guys on the door were always helpful with directions leaving bags until flew out. Thank you

From the moment we stepped through the door the service and welcome was excellant. Our bags were taken to our rooms which made us feel very special. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable.

I only stayed at the Menzies 5 nights but I really enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is very well situated and pleasant. I was especially impressed by Andrew, one of the concierge, always smiling and helpful. I will definitely stay there whenever I got back to Sydney.

Bit run-down. Pleasant, but not worth a 4-star rating.

There were a lack of bathroom toiletries and the towels were not very nice at all - not at all soft. No dressing gowns were provided. It felt as though it was past its best and needed a refurb. The breakfast was awful and despite getting to the restuarant just after it opened, all of the cooked breakfast was cold. The coffee was not nice at all. The staff were very friendly.

Excellent staff that appeared to rotate between different departments. Location is extremely handy opposite Wynard Station. Breakfast is not appetising nor value for money considering the great eateries around town. TV had visual issues and remote was temperamental. I'd stay again for the location to downtown rather than for anything else. Hotel also contains a small convenience store.

They didnt pick up my laundry when I asked, the bar fridge is not replenished daily, room service menu after midnight is lacking. The location of the hotel is fantastic!

Fantastic staff could not fault them - instead only can sing my praises for their attentiveness to my husband; my children and myself. we even extended our stay by a night. Will definitely recommend to all.

Well run reception desk, room very clean and adequate to our needs. Ceiling over shower needs repair - water damaged. We would stay at this hotel again. We did not use mini bar or hotel food areas.

The location was very good. The hot water/shower didn't run well for two days and had to skip the shower. It's not worth paying A$199.

The Concierge and all the door men were very courteous and helpful. Great location and on this rare occasion I used the transport system which was very convenient. A few negatives, the bathroom cleanliness could have been better, the TV and the control needs attention and the desk chair needs some upholstery. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Excellent landmark hotel right near the Wynyard district of Sydney. Only issue is the parking station which exits you about 1km from the hotel in the middle of the Rocks. Very well maintained hotel in a great location.
