It is really old fashion. But you can live very comfortably there. Anyway, location is good for me and with the price I paid, I think it's reasonable.

Location. Smelledawful in this hotel. My fiancée described it as smelling like a bathroom. Got a great price, location's good, wouldnever pay full price for this place.

Great Hotel, with plenty of eateries with in walking distance, safe place police heatquarters at end of street. Very Safe place I have stayed here 7 times, it is also $5 taxi ride to the garment district for great shopping.

The Miyako Hotel in downtown Los Angeles provides a good quality room in an ideal location in downtown LA. The hotel staff is excellent! Extremely polite, helpful people who will do whatever is needed to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel adjoins Little Tokyo in Los Angeles and provides easy access to an important cultural center of the city. I paid approximately $** per night and had a room that was perfectly adequate for my needs. I highly recommend the Miyako!

I felt so good when I live in Miyako Hotel.

Location. Total price should have been closer to 75-80, instead of 100.

The hotel room is pretty old but the location is safe and convenient. Compared to other hotel, Miyako has a pretty good price.

First time to LA. my LA trip was great. The hotel was clean and a great staff works there! The hospitality even spills over to the local restaurants in this area. I would stay at the Miyako again.

The hotel is located nearvy little Tokyo. At nite time, we can find a lot of food and also convenient store there. I love this place and highly recommend for those who love delicious Asian food.

We were only staying overnight so we were not looking for a spectacular lobby or sweeping grounds. The words "downtown hotel" usually connote traffic, noise and inadequate amenities. Not this one. It was in a relatively quiet location, considering it was indeed downtown, in close proximity to commerce. Our bathroom was clean, even had a bidet, and was larger than the normal size you may find in chain hotels. A few yards walk, we found the Japanese Village where we had a nice reasonably-priced dinner. There were families, including young children, enjoying the breeze in the courtyard surrounded by little shops that early evening. We thought that meant people felt safe around the neighborhood. This hotel was an pleasant surprise; was definitely an excellent value!

This hotel was great! we took the most expensive room? which was 10 dollars more then normal one. but the room was clean and nice. they have nice conditioning - not too noisy. hotel is situated not far from downtown (about 20min walk or 5min by bus). they have only sushi restaurants near the hotel. but at the front desk they have little brochures for different restaurants in different places.

Resort style hotel. Parking was expensive and there was no gym. Unique atmosphere in Little Tokyo, surrounded by many restaurants. Very nice and cozy. Many amenities, except it lacked a gym. Parking was expensive.

Let me begin by saying there is no other hotel that I can think of in Los Angeles at this price for such a comfortable stay. The spa and shiatsu massage are very reasonably priced. The massage staff is terrific and extremely skilled. The hotel is Japanese in the charming Little Tokyo district of downtown. There are many restaurants of all kinds everywhere. The Japanese villages are all around filled with many Japanese restaurants of all price ranges, most of them cheap and delicious. Some great sushi bars are just around the corner. The starting rate for the hotel was $109. Just try to find that anywhere downtown. It is impossible. Yet this hotel would be one of choice over others that cost more than twice the amount. It is clean and charming. If you can, get a room on the third floor, the spa floor (currently) and your hallway and even your room will smell of gorgeous spa scents. The staff are incredibly friendly and often very funny to speak with. They have a great sense of humor. The room is quiet, safe, and the bed is so comfortable. This is a very kept hotel. I've stayed here twice and had a great experience both times. Try to get a king size room because I believe they are nicer, but the standard room is just fine, more than fine. I stayed at the Ramada Inn by USC once I left the Miyako and it was no where near as nice. They have cordless phones and modern dimming bed lights. They also have one of those super-toilets that wash you and heat up. It worked beautifully. The water pressure was amazing. It was like getting a super massage in the shower. The windows open too!

I was very satisfied with our stay here. The hotel is in a fantastic location -close to downtown L.A. and in the great Little Tokyo area. Hotel was within walking distance to lots of Japanese restaurants and shops. The room itself was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and there's a great cafe and gift shop inside. The only downside was the parking. You can have valet parking for like $20 a day or you could do the self parking for about $17. The self parking was a bit annoying b/c you have to take an elevator to the garage and the elevator was soooo slow. You could take the stairs but they are dark and smelly. Other than that, I'd definitely stay here again.

Little tokyo in LA is a very safe place to stay. Parking is a hugeproblem. The hotel's parking is even more expensive than public parking. If you don't drive, it is not a bad choice to stay--clean, middle space room & close to little Tokyo. However, usually everyone needs a car to travel LA, parking becomes a big problem. This hotel knows that, so there parking fee per day is $17, very expensive. If this hotel has free or reasonable parking fee, like 7 to 9 USD per day.
