The hotel is located right in the historic centre of Cochem only a few meters from the river Mosel. In takes only 20 minutes walking to reach the top of the famous castle Reichsburg Cochem. Cochem is only 40km away from Frankfurt Hahn airport. From the lobby you enter the cosy Weinstube which is rustic in design with wooden decoration and antique decoration. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine there. The restaurant Rieslingstube is also very rustic in design with wooden beams under the ceiling a polished wooden floor, wooden furniture and antique paintings. The hotel Alte Thorschenke has the appearance of a little castle with its dark tiled sloping roof and small spires. It is originally one of the oldest historical wine taverns in Germany from the 13th century. The small lobby is furnished with antique furniture. It has a tiled floor covered with rugs and only a small seating area. The focal point is a heavy hand graven wooden spiral staircase from the 16th century.
