Once home to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Ryman Auditorium is a music venue with at least 2,300 seats for concert-goers, who come to see some of country music’s most beloved stars. The historic venue is known as the birthplace of bluegrass music and holds a reputation for launching the careers of up-and-coming musicians.
In addition to attending concerts at Ryman Auditorium, you can take one of several fascinating tours. A Haunted History tour unveils the mystery and history related to the venue since its opening more than 120 years ago. Tours take you beneath the stage in search of ghostly occurrences then to the renowned Café Lula for a drink.
The Go Backstage tour takes you through dressing rooms used by big-name performers like Garth Brooks, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Each room is decorated with rare memorabilia, vintage photographs and local art. If you’re a star-in-the-making, book some time to make your own recording at The Ryman studio.
