The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is the home stadium of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and also hosts college football’s Sugar Bowl every year. This 75,000-plus-capacity stadium features a domed roof and dates back to 1975. Since its inauguration, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome has also set the stage for baseball, college and national basketball, boxing, motocross, gymnastics and rugby union.
Time your visit during the NFL season to watch the New Orleans Saints take on some of the country’s most popular football teams. You can also witness live music performances at the stadium, which has seen the likes of Prince, Kiss, Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran over the years.
Can’t make it for a game or performance? Check out the on-site Saints Hall of Fame Museum, which displays an array of Saints memorabilia, including photos of notable players, jerseys, team photos and game footage. Right outside the stadium you’ll find Champions Square, a large outdoor space that is popular for hosting festivals, tailgating events and celebrations.
