Liked the free wi-fi. The grill/club in the same lot was loud. Overall, it was okay.

Very friendly staff and decent location just off Highway 99. Room was clean and well appointed. Replay bar and restaurant adjacent to hotel has good food at reasonable prices, but get there early as it gets busy by mid evening. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

I chose this hotel because of the reviews. But somebody needs to let people know the truth. My husband and I attended a convention this weekend. Having never stayed in Bakersfield, we booked our room through travel website. As soon as we got off the freeway, I knew we had picked a substandard location. It was clear as we passed the "Exocic Kitty's Gentlemans Club", just a block away from the hotel, we were on the wrong side of town. Most importantly, the staff was fine, the hotel was old, but obviously someone put money and the time in upgrading it. What a waste. tour of the area revealed no decent restaurants arThe hotel shares the lot with the Replay Lounge and Grill. Since our ound the hotel, we thought, hey we will give the Replay Grill a try. WRONG! We walked up, we walked out. The Replay, is a rundown sports bar, complete with pool tables, big screen TV's and lots of "talent" fit for the gentlemans club down the street. Our room was located on the ground floor, with direct view of the local talent and their friends who go outside to "smoke", " and have "boom box contests"! We were kept up all night, both nights by the sights and sounds that continued to "Replay" in the parking lot. In the morning we noted the emply plastic beer cups tossed about, even landing next to our car. We were up at least every hour. Besides lack of sleep, the bed was horrible, I suppose you can't blame that on the hotel. Nor can you blame the hotel for the spider we killed. But the price! * per night was outrages!

It was very clean. Noise from bar and grill. The room was very clean but the bar and grill across the parking lot was very loud. I found beer cans all around my car in the morning. The noise did not stop until around 2:30 am.

This is evidently under new ownership and they have gone to considerable effort to upgrade it. I had read an old review and was rather doubtful but my nephew insisted it was good. I am glad we listened to him as it was indeed a pleasant stay--comfortable bed, attractive lounge, attractive landscaping, good breakfast, most comfortable bed, and very friendly, helpful staff. There was not a lot of extra space in the single-bed room--but we were looking for a good place to spend the night and were quite satisfied.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location wasn't the greatest, but the hotel made up for it. I was very surprised by how clean the room was. The comforter on the bed was wonderful. I even took a bath and I never take baths in hotels. The whole room was immaculate. I stayed on the first floor and right outside my room was a little oasis with fruit trees and a little brook and palm trees. It was very relaxing. The breakfast was your normal food, but it was good. I was told that it had been completely remodeled last year. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Close to local attractions. Great breakfast! The bed was a little hard and they could have better pillows. It’s great for families and business travelers. Very close to local attractions and freeways.

From the complimentary glass of sparkling wine at check-in to the free glass of port every evening, this hotel is a real pleasure. Large, lovely, clean rooms. Fabulous views of the vineyard and lake. Great restaurant and wonderful hotel staff. Great location.

I loved the beds. Too many people at the breakfast line, could not eat. For the price it was excellent!

Can't think of anything. Understaffed, staff under trained, uncomfortable with the location, lacking cleanliness. I would not recommend this particular hotel to anyone. The room was substandard. My description of substandard was a lack of cleanliness and items not working to standard expectations. The night staff does not answer the phone should you be lost and require directions to find them, in order to check in. Once you get there, you realize that the one person on duty is trying as hard as they can with their skill levels, however, they are so busy that they can't find the time away from current guests needs in order to answer the phone. Not a great experience and I have this hotel marked for my future reference as to not mistakenly stay there again.

A good over night stay hotel. Too expensive. The hotel is ok. Clean and location not important if you are just staying overnight. But looking at the location, with some distance from businesses, it should be much cheaper.

The interior courtyard, water fountain and pool were clean and beautiful. There were no restaurant services on the property. Very clean, quiet and the check in/check out were easy.

The recently renovated rooms and lobby were very nice. The pool area and landscaped courtyard were beautiful. The landscapers working at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. We were definitely pleased with our stay. It was only and overnighter, but everything was in order. The inner courtyard area was beautiful and serene at night when we arrived. The bed was very comfy and the extra pillows were a nice touch as well. The wireless internet connection was effortless and had excellent signal. Other than the landscapers mowing at 8 a.m. on Saturday, not a complaint at all. Best quality Inn stay ever.

Newly-remodeled 3-star hotel, Corian bath, counter & floor, new furniture, 4 pillows + pillow-top mattress, flat screen, fantastic breakfast, etc. No microwave/refrigerator in room. Newly remodeled 3-star hotel labeled 2-star in error, Corian bath/shower, Corian counter & floor, new furniture, 4 pillows on each pillow-top over medium-firm mattress, flat screen, fantastic loaded breakfast room (Waffles, toast, fruit, juices, bagels, Costco muffins, HB eggs, dynamite French Roast coffee rivals Starducks, yogurt, cereal, LA Times to share) pool & hot tub, pool shower room, laundry room, internet access, lots of TV channels, interior rooms open to garden courtyard with trees & pond. Excellent!

Close to highway. Did not deal with out of control guest that kept us awake until 2 am. Staff did not follow through with calling cops for guests that would not be quiet. They were using foul Lang and drinking until 2 am. We had to be up at 5 am. The manager said that there was nothing they could do. They would not refund us our money for a hotel room that we only got 2 half hours sleep. The staff at this hotel does not protect your rights to a good nights sleep. So why rent a room from them if you don't get what you are paying good money for.
