Description:
Welcome to Las Vegas' most talked-about experience! The Palms Casino Resort offers its guests some of the city's most spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip, unique rooms, memorable nightlife venues and a bevy of dining options. From ghostbar on the 55th floor to Rain Las Vegas just off the casino, the Palms is the hotel for the MTV generation - so much so that the 12th season of MTV's "The Real World" was shot at the resort, and now hotel guests can stay in the 2,900-square-foot suite created for the show's cast. The resort today is the home of Bravo's "Celebrity Poker Showdown" and is a Vegas playground for music celebrities and Hollywood stars, with specialty suites offering extra-large furniture for the hotel's many NBA guests, and two luxury Playpen suites (complete with stripper poles) that attract not only bachelor and bachelorette parties but also A-list celebrities. The Palms offers some of the best nightlife in town, beginning with ghostbar. Its open-air deck offers amazing 180-degree views of the Vegas Strip. Fifty-five stories below, the 1,500-seat, state-of-the-art nightclub and showroom venue Rain Las Vegas has a line of fun-loving partygoers every weekend. The resort's dining options are equally extraordinary, from Alize, where diners can enjoy floor-to-ceiling views as well as gourmet meals, to Little Buddha, with its crimson, gold and celadon decorations and giant Buddha statue. If you're looking to relax, the Palms features a 20,000-square-foot spa boasting numerous services. Outside, the pool provides a welcome reprieve from the Vegas heat with multiple pools, including two designed just for shallow lounging. The pools at Palms and Palms Place open for the season on March 5, 2009. If indoor fun is more your style, check out the 14-theater Brendan Theatres complex or stop by Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company, the only tattoo parlor in a Vegas hotel. Finally, the Palms is also constructing the new 40-story Fantasy Tower. Many standard guest rooms are already open, as well as a series of fantasy suites. From the mammoth and lush Celebrity Suite to the ultra-hip g Suite, the Palm's Fantasy Suites turn a regular vacation into one fit for a Vegas high-roller. Other luxury options include the hip hop-laden Crib Suite, the bachelorette party-friendly Hot Pink Suite and the Erotic Suite. Also now open! The Playboy Club with its own casino, new restaurant Nove Italiano, and a new nightclub called Moon, with a retractable roof! The new tower also houses a state-of-the-art recording studio and a floor of meeting space. The masterpiece of the Fantasy Tower will be the six Sky Villas, which will each offer an outdoor pool overlooking The Strip. When completed, the Fantasy Tower will definitely live up to its name, and, like the rest of the Palms, make you feel like a celebrity. Hotel guests now receive free passes to nightclubs! - 2 Passes per room. * Ghost Bar - Complimentary admission is good for "You + 1 guest SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY." Line Pass is not included. * Rain - Complimentary Admission is good for "You + 1 guest FRIDAYS ONLY." * Playboy Club - Line Passes for "You + 1 guest - SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY." * Moon - Line Passes for "You + 1 guest - THURSDAY & SUNDAY." * Guest must show room key with Pass to redeem. This Hotel although nice is a bit overrated. Although the nightclubs and bars are great Location to strip is a hassle. The rooms are small and conservative but the view was good. There are two towers and I stayed at the original Palms so I'm not speaking for the newer tower. *Positive aspects: Rain, Moon, and Ghostbar. All three alone would be worth the trip to Palms. For only $30 dollar (which is reasonable for Las Vegas standards)you get a pass for all three clubs. The view from Moon and Ghostbar are incredible and if you like a good show with top DJ's then Rain is your place. *Negative aspects: Rooms are small. Pool is over crowded limited seating that doesn't cost extra. LOCATION. 25-30min walk from strip. $12.00 one way cab ride to strip. Driving to the strip sucks during peak traffic times and there was a lot of construction when we were there.

The hotel didn't have any king bed non smoking rooms so they bumped us to a junior suite for no additional charge.

The Palms was a wonderful hotel. The only complaint I would have is that the rooms were kind of plain, nothing exciting, no theme to the room. Maybe they figure most people won't be in their room for long periods of time so why put too much into the decor. Other than that, it was great. The pool was fabulous, great service, drinks and music. The hotel management was very accomodating. We had one incident where some work was being done on the floors above us and woke us up at 4 a.m. We informed the hotel staff and they gave us a late check out on our last day and a free meal at any restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is very clean and well-kept. We visited several nightclubs in the hotel and those were very nice. If you want a fabulous meal go to N9NE Steakhouse. Best food I've had in a very long time. Also Nove Italiano is a very nice restaurant with great food and the service at both restaurants was superb!!! All in all it was a wonderful experience. Will definitely stay there again.

If you are an average Joe, you will get treated like crap. Right from the beginning, they actually told us that they did not have our reservation and said it would take 3 hours for travelocity to fax them confirmation. I do not believe this story. We he had a very good price, and that is why we were told this. We were told, "That's the problem with booking through third parties". We had to call travelocity, and they still wanted us to wait 3 hours for a "fax" to come from travelocity. We threw a fit, and were finally put into a room, with a lot of attitude. They were completely disinterested in us and unwilling to offer any solutions. The front desk and concierge people were downright rude. The bartender at the pool threw away the fruit we paid a lot of money for. Also, they search your bags before you go to the pool to make sure that you do not bring any water of food from outside of the pool area "contraband", so you have to buy stuff at the pool. The towels have fuzz all over them. The rooms are not clean in places that are not immediately seen by the eye. This was my first time in Vegas, and I was completely disappointed with The Palms.

Views, location, clubs and clean room. One of the staff from the concierge desk was rude when I called for information about the convention center. Great hotel and night clubs. I enjoyed the view from the deck at ghost bar. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and quiet rooms. I will come back again.

Any they served COKE! The room was spacious, and clean and the service was quick - Valet parking to the bell desk everything was right on time. The margarita's were also on point "El Patron" was our favorite :) Definitely an upscale hotel with plenty to do right there in the hotel, unlimited night clubs, high end food a cafe to fast food court were great! We also had a movie theater in the hotel. A ways out from the strip, but we had a rental car and used taxis when we wanted to explore the strip.

We thought we were getting a deal on the room but they charge you for everything at this hotel. It costs 20 just to work out in their fitness center, which was completely empty by the way. They charge for the in-room internet and for the business center internet - neither of which was specified on their website which is what made me so upset. False advertising! Also, you cannot bring any food or drinks even ones from the hotel itself out to the pool area. Everything has to be bought there. The new spa at Palms Place was really nice and Moon and Playboy Club were good too but you don't need to stay there. There are much better deals. Good beds but no vanity which really stunk for us girls trying to get ready. Also, one day the maid service didn't clean our room till after 5 p.m. and we had to call. Not cool.

Overall very good experience and value. The location is great if you do not want to deal with the traffic and tourists of the strip. The rooms are a good value. You will get down comforters, pillows and comfortable bed. The rooms nor casino will not have the opulence of say the Bellagio (stay away...Bellagio is a big hassle with a 'we don't need your business' attitude). The hotel also lacks a theme, this is definitely better than something rediculous like Aladdin, but has not defined itself with anything in particular. All the clubs charge fees to get in, i.e. Payboy Club and Rain Nightclub. The Hotel restaurants are average and overpriced like with any casino. It does have a food court (never ate there) which may be good for people or families on a budget. The more I go to Vegas, the more I try to stay away from the gimmicks of the strip...this is definitely a good alternative. Have Fun!

Dont Stay Here! Beware this hotel has the worst slot machines in Las Vegas. Very small hotel compare to the others on the Strip. If you stay here be ready to pay 10.00 cab fair every time you leave and come back. The clubs are the not best. The Bank and Pure at the Bellagio is much better. Super expensive room service. The bed covers are very dirty. When room service cleaned the room all that was left was a cloud of dust from the beding. The sink and tub were always clog. Rude front desk. At check out beware they will charge you for opening the min-bar. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Bellagio or the Ceaser, or anywhere on the strip. This hotel is nothing unless you are a celbrity staying in the suites seen on TV.

The helpful staff and location of the hotel. Room service food was very good. The view from our room was alright, could have been better. Good place to stay with a lot of in house amenities. Nice layout in the casino and very friendly staff. I think the room was an excellent value and comfortable.

Rooms were nice but very noisy people next door. Kept us up at night. Nothing to do inside of hotel except gamble. NO good shopping there. Had to find someone to ask for a drink.Have to take taxi to other places. Liked staying on the strip better.

Arrived at The Palms at around 10:30 am on a Sunday and attempted to check in. In my first attempt, I tried to give the receptionist a 20 dollar tip for a comped upgrade, but that failed miserably. They told me the rooms were not ready yet and that they would call me when it was. We then went to the all you could drink champagne brunch at the buffet, not bad. A little pricey at $18, but it was okay. So, we gambled a little bit and walked up to the Rio, walked back and tried to check in again. STILL NOTHING! Finally at around 3:00 we were able to get into the room. Did a little bit more gambling at the Palms, then we headed up to the strip. This is the one problem with the Palms, is the taxi rides to the strip can become expensive. Did I mention that I have never seen so many good looking young women in one casino, it was amazing. It is for sure a lot younger crowd that stays here. All seem to be good looking, wealthy, and young. California types, a little too hip for a drunken gambler like myself, even though I am only 23. The table limits were typically around 10-15 min. and the video poker at the palms is hard to beat. Their food court proved to be very nice when looking for a cheap and quick meal, they have a McDonalds, chinese, and a pizza place. On the last night there, we went up to the Playboy club, it is great. $25 a hand blackjack dealt by smokin' hot playboy bunnies, dressed in cute outfits. Club Moon was packed to the gills, not my scene. All in all, I would stay here again if the price were right. Otherwise, I would rather stay right up on the strip.

The new tower was nice when room was upgraded. Guest services at the front dest was poor. General atomosphere of the hotel was decent but the guest services was incredibly poor towards any unexpected situations. The rooms weren't clean and had water leak, etc. but I was checked into the room.

We actually liked the Palms we stayed just one night this time but received complimentry entry to the bars/clubs, free slot play and a dining voucher.there were passes to the fitness club/spa also but we didnt stay long enough to visit. Its comparable to most of the strip hotels in quality ( we usually stay at the venetian/madalay bay/bellagio)Room was cean and comfortable we had a nice view ( not strip but we didnt book that )room was of comparable size Venetian. You do have to pay for internet access but you do almost everywhere now. The only downside i can see is if you are in vegas for the first time and want to walk the strip, you will have to catch a cab.To be honest though if you stay in an off strip hotel and complain about having to catch a cab to the strip you probably didnt think about your trip too much before you went.Obviously if you want to be really close to the strip stay on the strip. the Palms is well known for not being directly on the strip and its clear on all the websites they arent on the strip so there shouldnt be any surprises. Overall i would happily stay here again.
