The main Stay was a very nice hotel. Room was clean and the staff was very courteous. I would stay at the Main Stay again in the future.

Free parking. Rooms not cleaned well; worn mattresses; roach infested. I stayed here before and did not have any problems but this time the beds were horrible, the mattresses and box springs are worn with huge dents and just horrible. The room was infested with roach, the housekeeping is horrible, everything was very dusty. The need to do a complete change of beds and pest control service. The housekeepers need to pay more attention to cleaning the rooms well, the floor was dirty and the microwave and coffee pot was dirty from the last guest. I like Mainstay but I will never stay there again and I will not recommend it to anyone I know. I must say I felt safe there though, there was security on the grounds and no lingering persons around.

My wife & I stayed here from 14 – 20 Feb. 08. This was a really good hotel, especially at the excellent $69 government-military rate (a rarity in this area). It was great to have a kitchenette with a full-sized fridge, a microwave & 2-burner stovetop, with new pots & pans available from the front desk. The free hot breakfast offered is the best we have ever had. Although I had bought my own cereal before arrival, I did enjoy the bacon, eggs, tea biscuits, toast, juice, & coffee (I can’t eat bacon & eggs first thing in the morning, but like a hobbit, I did enjoy a second breakfast a few times). Other breakfast items include sausage patties, waffles, hot oatmeal, & bagels. There is a large eating area, so we were always able to find an empty table at breakfast. We also enjoyed the coffee & tea available all day in the lobby, & the occasional fresh-baked cookies. Likes: free local calls; very quiet a/c in the room; 2 - 27” TVs with 41 channels; although we did not swim in the pool, we did lounge around it on the several patio sets available; lots of free parking; & a coin-op laundry which actually dries the clothes in 1 cycle. Had I brought proper clothing, I would have used one of the two exercise rooms available. The only real problem encountered was upon check-in. We had reserved a non-smoking, king bed suite but got a smoking room by mistake. As non-smokers, we absolutely could not take it, so we were given the only other room available: a 1 queen suite. We prefer to have separate beds, but had settled for a king when making the reservation. Luckily, a 2 queen bed suite become available 2 days later. The staff had our luggage moved to the new room, which was great, as that left us free for the day. This room was much better, as it had dressers for our clothing, a large vanity in the bathroom, & more room in the bedroom. This hotel is not near the beach (it’s about a 20 min. drive due east, depending on traffic). But if you have a car, it is worth the extra gas. It

It is within a mile of both a Publix grocery store and a Super Target located just east on University Dr, & the Sawgrass Mills Mall is not far.Other than the problem encountered upon check-in, overall customer service was very good. The staff was very friendly, professional, & answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting really nice, cheap accommodations, as long as they have the wheels to get around.
