From the moment I entered the grounds until the moment I left the grounds, I was awed by this unique place. I loved the sprawling, community feel to the place and yet each section felt cozy and intimate in a private way. The rooms were spectacular for the price. The pools were heavenly both temperature wise and lack of chlorine wise (salt managed pools). The staff was top notch. My friend and I got lost the first morning and asked a person working on the lawn for directions. They sat down their tools and walked us all the way to our destination. The gentleman who drove us around in our golf cart was friendly and professional in a way that gave me a grin each morning on the way to coffee and muffins. Every aspect of this experience was just fabulous.

Staff. Hotel needs detailing blandly. Lots of little things wrong in a property that could easily be 5 stars if they detailed each room. I stayed there 2 times in 2 months and both rooms had problems. Broken internet connection, poor shower, etc.

we had a great time / loved the hotel, and it's location

This hotel is great! We loved our room, very spacious and clean! Had a great private patio. The hotel is like a little city with great restaurants, shopping and beautiful pools. The hotel is large, but the staff was very helpful getting us to our room when we checked in. Loved the plaza entertainment, food and dancing! Overall, a great resort! Highly recommend it!

This hotel has beautiful, lush grounds with waterfalls and cactus gardens and beauty everywhere.

It was absolutely beautiful at this resort. The nicest I have experienced. Flowers everywhere. The staff was more than accomodating. Rooms extremely clean and well kept. We had Maid visit the room at least 3 times a day.

The hotel offers multiple pools and an amazing relaxing environment. I've stayed here several times and would go again. Although my experience at this stay wasn't as pleasant as the times before, I will still consider this resort for future stays.

Friendly staff and nice property. Rooms and pools were old. The hotel needs to be updated.

Our original hotel overbooked the first night of our vacation and put us up at La Quinta. We arrived at 11:30pm all we wanted was room service and our bed. Food was good and the beds were comfortable. Couple of other positive things: the robes in the room and the service we received from both Bell Men that helped us. Both should receive raises for their outstanding customer service!

Rooms were spacious and clean except the bathrooms were quite small. Parking situation was horrible. The hotel is surrounded by a condo complex and parked on the street outside our rooms because there were no close spaces and received a call at midnight telling me to move our car..had to park over a block and 1/2 away from room...not what one would expect from a top flight resort...and I was on crutches to add to the misery. The grounds were nice but one can be a long ways away from many of the amenities.

The grounds were beautiful and the employees were very helpful.

In our four day stay, we "carried" at least 20 crickets from the room to the outdoors. Also, bring your dish liquid soap (we bought a bottle at Walgreens). This hotel housekeeping "cleans" the glasses, etc. in the room with mystery cleaner, leaving stains and extra surprises (germs).

The staff was very friendly and our room was just steps away from the pool. The casita we stayed in had a fireplace (so I'm sure it is lovely during the winter) and a huge bed. I just wish that our bathroom also had a tub and not just a shower. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and the food was great.

"What a beautiful, charming an historic facility. There is truly something for everyone here! Quiet swimming pools and lively ones. Great kids activities, wonderful tennis staff and courts, golf. We loved dining outside listening to the live music and what a great, attentive staff. It is a bit far from the airport, but worth the drive. It sets the standard for the other facilities in the area."

42 swimming pools. Dark rooms. The hotel is immense with 1200 rooms and 42 pools. I found the staff most accomodating. The rooms are decorated in dark colors and not much light available in the rooms.

La Quinta was in a great location and the weather was perfect. Our room was very comfy and with 41 pools, it was a relaxing stay and the hotel never felt crowded. Would go back in a heartbeat!

"Gorgeous historic place, beautifully landscaped, lovely architecture. Service room very clean and quiet despite 95% occupancy. Fortunate to be upgraded to a Studio Suite with lounge, fireplace, 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and fully equipped kitchen, 2 balconies to dine alfresco.Gorgeous pool and hot-tub right outside mostly to ourselves. Housekeeping fantastic- serviced times a day! Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Food/drinks expensive so shopped at local Trader Joes, cooked our own food . Only con La quinta 45 min drive from palm springs airport - 60-70 bucks by taxi one way- ouch!"
