This location is easy access to the highway and the outlet location. Lots of restaurants to choose from, breakfast included, fridge and mircowave in the room. Very friendly staff.

The room had a fridge. Good continental breakfast. The outside appearance wasn't spectacular. Staff gave wrong directions. The hotel didn't look very impressive at first but the room was very nice. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and aDVD player. The two double beds comfortable fit 4 people. There was plenty of parking. The continental breakfast was good and even started an hour early to accommodate the event most guests were attending.

surprise! Rooms smell no working ice machine on second level no elevator outside doors are open to all. Parking in back is dark and out of way -

Stayed there for a week on business. The end of the week, came home with hives. Strangest ever because I never had allergy to anything before. Room does not feel clean, there is strange fragrance in hallway and inside room, and wireless connection is poor. Was charged for safe-dep box though didn't use it, but got adjusted after that. Will NEVER come to HoJo again.

The hotel was not horrible for the price. The staff were very nice. My only complaint was that the beds were not very comfortable, but weren't horrible, and the rooms were freezing and the heaters did not work very well. We ended up having four rooms and had the same problem with all but one. The one we didn't have a problem with, got way to hot!!! But overall, I would probably stay here again if need be. We weren't in our rooms very much since we went to the city. Good place to stay when visiting someone from West Point.

It was near Orange County Choppers. Smelly hall, no microwave & no fridge, very limited breakfast.

The rooms are a little old. The beds are nice. And it was warm, what else ya waht? The staff was great. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly.

Fast check in. The parking lot was covered in Ice and was not well taken care of. Its ok if your on a budget and need a place to stay for a day or two. Not really a family friendly place. But if you're in for business or just to see friends and family in the area and they don't have room, its ok. But they need to take care of the parking lot, lots of ice patches make walking from car to hotel difficult. Other than that, clean rooms with TV, microwave, fridge, and a safe makes it an alright place to stay.

Not a great place to stay with a family but for one or two people on a tight budget it does the job.

Quiet room, air conditioner with digital temperature setting. Not enough fruit and non-sugar-loaded cereals at breakfast. The room was well appointed, the beds were good and the air conditioner was quiet and had a digital temperature setting. We especially appreciated being able to set the temperature for the night. The continental breakfast would have been better had there been several adult, non-sugar-loaded cereals.

I found the Howard Johnson to be located in a conveniant location & I received the best value for my dollar.

The location. It's close to the interstate, reasonably priced, and quite clean. Not a place to spend a vacation, but great for an overnight stay.
Date of Stay:
July, 2007
Finding bedbugs crawling all over the pillows and then all over the bed after the pillows were lifted was an utterly horrible experience. Less than 10 minutes after we got into the room, we left even though it was 4:30 in the morning and our flight had landed hours late and we were overtired. There was no question of asking for another room because if there are bedbugs in one room, you can just bet the entire hotel is infested.

The price and location were excellent. The pool is a literal pile of dirt and concrete. A great price and very close to the Newburgh airport. Good pizza house next door. Good value but you'll be sharing the floor with drunken partiers and a smelly carpet.

This motel served it's purpose for my visit. The bottom floor must have been the smoking section because of the strong smell of cigerate smoke. I did not smell the smoke upstairs in my room. The appreance externally was very clean. The room I have was dated.

The cleaning staff left clean towels daily. The lack of bathroom cleanliness, there was mold in the bathtub. I think the staff in this hotel is friendly; however the upkeep and cleanliness need to be addressed.

This hotel was a good value but nothing special. The continental breakfast was a dissapointment and the bathroom was not as clean as I would have preferred. Staff was helpful

The continental breakfast was very nice with make your own waffles. No transportation to or from the airport or train station. Staff was accommodating, putting us on the ground floor since we had two toddlers and a number of bags in three rooms.

Great staff and conveniently located. It's in the middle of being renovated and parts of it are still old and the smoking rooms smell bad in the hallway. This hotel was a good value for the money. It is near the airport and shopping. It is being renovated and still has a way to go before it's completed, however, what they have renovated looks lovely, clean and new. The only negative was the smoke smell in the hallway coming from the smoking rooms. Breakfast was simple, fresh and delicious. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

It was close to the airport. It smelled. We specifically requested a room for two adults and one child and got a room with a king size bed. The front desk person was not friendly, the Lobby and hall ways smelled, there was not TV except one station and the wireless internet did not work. A very unsatisfactory experience.
