My wife and I booked this hotel due to the location and the Crown Plaza service we were used to. The staff was pleasant but not on the ball at all. This is a 2* hotel at best. It should not carry the Crown Plaza name. We stay at many hotels and are not very picky people, but this one irritated even us. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed of an 18.00 a day parking charge that was not mentioned on the web site here. There is no other inexpensive alternate parking around the location at all. We do not mind paying for parking when it is expected or mentioned beforehand. When you call Cheap Tickets to attempt to resolve the situation they try and blame it on the hotel. No one at Cheap Tickets will ever "own a problem" so travelers beware. We entered our room to find the desk leg broken, the vanity mirror broken, and falling off. The towel bar in the shower was ripped off the wall and hanging there. We called the staff and informed them, but wondered why it was not reported/fixed before we arrived. Not one staff person offered to move us to another room or compensate us at all. The business center is pretty much non-functional. The printers are constantly offline. There is not a guest service phone nearby if you have a problem. When I attempted to print my flight information the printer was broken. I reported it to the staff and they asked me if I tried to fix it. So they would not have to I assume. When someone did meander over to fix the printer system it printed up my information and several other people's sensitive info. When we gave the paperwork to the hotel staff once again informing them of the problem...they just shrugged and took the random persons paperwork from us. Several people upon check in and check out were always at the front desk complaining of service, hotel problems, and incorrect room reservations. Do yourself a favor and stay at one of the Hilton properties nearby. Do not stay at this hotel. It is not worth the monies you think you will be

I got a king-size bed, was on the 21st floor overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The hotel is beautiful and so clean. There's a restaurant/lounge on the first floor to grab a bite or get room service from. The staff was so helpful and nice. Bed was SO comfortable. Within 2 blocks of the Colordao Convention Center and the 16th Street Mall. I'm picky about where I stay and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I have been to Denver a few times, but this by far was my favorite trip. This hotel is perfectly located 1 block from the 16th street mall - which gives you free rides all through the city. I was able to walk to great restaurants and do a little shopping. The staff was friendly from check in to check out. I loved the renovation and the decor of the spacious rooms. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Denver!

I was very unhappy with the fact that we had 4 people in this small room and it was prepared barely for two. We had to beg for towels, soap and all other amenities like coffee and cups that four people needed for 3 nights (and yes we were using green).

Location. Parking fee at $18 was too high. Hotel tried to be upscale, but room was small with oversize furniture, felt confined.

My wife and I recently spent a Saturday evening at the Crowne Plaza and unfortunately the room was a huge disappointment. We spent the night on Valentines Day and were immediately diappointed upon arriving to our room. For starters, the room located about 5 feet directly in front of the elevator. My wife had made the reservation based on the assumption we would be on the Excecutive Club Level with access to the complimentary lounge. When we called to find the location of the lounge, we were informed it was not open on weekends. In regards to the room itself, it looked nice but within 10 short minutes, we could hear every word of the neighbors conversation through the bathroom vent. The walls seemed as if they were made of particle board, we could hear the other neighbor's television word for word until they turned it off sometime after 1:00 a.m. The next morning while getting ice, I could hear my wife's hairdryer down the hall while the door was shut. Oh yeah, did I mention our room was directly in front of the elevator? The bathroom was another let down. The sink had a circular counter which stook out way too far. The toilet seat cover would not close all the way and the toilet seat itself would not stay up. The shower was slanted and did not have any slip guards in the tub. Both of us almost slipped while getting into the shower. The only saving grace for the hotel was that the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. If it was not for the bed, I definitely would have rated this hotel a 1.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed here for 4 nights in May 2008 for a convention and didn't enjoy the hotel at all, except for its proximity to the convention center and other downtown tourist attractions. From the looks and feel of it, the hotel used to be of much lower standards (Holiday Inn???) and they've renovated most parts of the hotel. Some renovations were done well, while others (e.g. hallways) still looked dingy. Poor air circulation in the hallways made the long (VERY long at times) elevator wait uncomfortable. Bathrooms were small, and the quality of the renovations were so-so. TVs were still old CRTs that took up a lot of the already small room, and fuzzy picture at best, making relaxation in the room difficult. Overall, I felt stressed staying at this hotel. Especially at ~ 170 per night, could have stayed much nicer for 10 - 20 more. On the bright side, the hotel staff, especially the concierge, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.

I thought the location was awesome. We were right in the middle of all the action. It was a decent drive from the airport, and it was easy to find. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ideal location. Expensive parking, food, and changes. We wanted to switch from a queen size bed single to a single with two twin size beds. It cost us an extra $40. It was as expensive, if not morose. Parking was $18 for the night, which is extremely expensive for downtown Denver.

I stayed here while attending a Convention. The Hotel is only a couple of Blocks from the Convention Center and 16th Street. The Room was clean and comfortable. The Staff was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgable of Denver's attractions. They treated me like family. The doorman and concierge helped me select wonderful restaurants and nightly activities that allowed me to take in a full range of activities on a small budget. I travel for business quite a bit and this was one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever experienced.

Hotel was overbooked; common areas were sadly in need of remodeling. Elevators weren't working well resulting in waits of as much as 15 minutes to get to upper rooms Restaruant had all the charm of a well used 1970's era Denny's. Staff tried hard but was obviously overwhelmed, stressed out, and inadequately trained. Meeting room we booked was mediocre at best. The crowning moment occurred when a fire alarm sounded at 10:00 AM (the second one that day). Staff informed guests that it was probably a false alarm. As the fire trucks rolled up, firemen carrying airpacks, hoses, and axes hurried into the hotel.....while the service staff continued to usher guests into the lobby and go thru the pre registration process. A recipe for a real disaster!

Great location, loved the decor, staff was pleasant. Unexpected parking fee of $18. The extra parking fee should be clearly stated, but more than that it should be included in the overall price. The $18 fee was more than any other downtown lot was charging and we were staying there. Seemed outrageous. Also the lobby bar closed earlier than the bars downtown.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Denver 2 weeks ago. I was there for a business meeing and stayed an extra day to see the city. I had a wonderful stay. The staff was so friendly. I was helped by a young man from the Sales Department. He helped me find an awesome restaurant for dinner. I mean, the Sales Department? He didn't have to, but he took about 10 minutes out of his day to help me out. Then there was the room. Gorgeous. Best night sleep I've had in a long time. I hate to admit it, but their beds are more comfortable than mine at home. I would definatly stay here again. In fact I'm going to book my next trip to Denver now.

Hotel was good value for the location. Beds were great - room was fine - view was of the concrete parking lot. Thats ok - you stay downtown to be downtown and this hotel is 1 block from the 16th Street. Room service was good and extremly fast. Will stay here again if price is right. Parking lot is 18 a day in-out privliges (GREAT DEAL - usually over 22 a day at others).

Crowne Plaza Denver was in walking distance of the 16th street mall which was great, If you didn't want to get lost in Denver this provided you with everythin you would need. The overall appearance of the hotel inside did not look as good as the pictures that were provided through your web site, the room we stayed in looked nothing like that of the pictures, it seemed actually smaller. The view was great.

It had a fresh modern look with extras like fruit in the lobby water dispenser. Free Wi-Fi! The usual noise from neighboring rooms. The entire hotel was non-smoking which was great. It had a very modern upscale feel with nice features like marble counters and plush bedding/towels.

Liked the location as it was within walking distance of all there is to see in downtown Denver or you can take the free bus that runs up and down the 16th Street Mall if you do not want to walk. Hotel is a bit dated and it seemed to be going through some renovations while we were there. Elevators were old and often took a very long time for one to get to our floor. After our first night, the cleaning staff did a poor job by hardly doing anything other than re-make the bed. Then the next day they did an excellent job...inconsistent. The A/C was terrible. We complained and were told that the engineers would take a look at it. Unfortunately, they did not fix the problem and we had 2 very uncomfortable nights (either very cold or very hot) with a loud fan. Our biggest complaint was the fact that there is no internet access in the room. For a business hotel, I would think this is a requirement now-a-days. We had to go to their "business center" which consisted of 2 computers and a printer. We were given a key card access to their new concierge room at the top of the building and consisted of free drinks and finger foods so this made up for some of the inconveniences. Once this hotel is fully remodeled, I would stay again but not before they are done.

Room was nice, small, but nice. Front desk staff was great, parking wasn't a problem and it was a good location for 16th street mall. We ordered room service for breakfast and it wasn't good. Other than that, a great hotel.
