We are a small and friendly bed and breakfast - offering that extra personal service to all our guests. We aim is to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Buxton House is situated in the leafy avenues of Craig-y-don, Llandudno and only 125 metres from the sea-front. We have recently under-gone major refurbishment, diligently retaining the original Victorian features. Our guests are assured of a pleasant, quiet and safe stay, benefiting from the latest fire and electrical systems. We offer double en-suite rooms and the Buxton Suite offering a double bedroom ,Lounge and en-suite. Your stay in Craig-y-don offers an opportunity of free on-street parking for the duration of your stay. You can either take a leisurely stroll along the promenade to Llandudno town centre (15 minutes), with its Victorian splendor or take the bus from around the corner of our street that run every 10 minutes. Llandudno is a busy all-season shopping centre with its new Parc Llandudno high street stores. There are bars and restaurants and a regular variety of entertainment at the Venue Cymru Theatre, which is located near to Buxton House. The area is ideal for walking, cycling, golfing, short breaks and family holidays. We are ideally situated for touring North Wales, with easy access to the A55 Expressway and the beautiful surrounding areas such as: Bodnant Gardens, Conwy Castle, The Swallow Falls at Betws-y-Coed, Portmeirion Village and gardens (as featured in TVs The Prisoner) or the Snowdonia National Park.

From A55 Expressway;Leave the A55 at junction 19 and take the last exit on the roundabout signposted A470 Llandudno. Stay on this road going straight on at all roundabouts until you reach the brow of the hill, Craig-y-Don is signposted on this roundabout. After turning right here you will be on Queens Road. Rosebery Avenue is 5th on the right with Buxton House being on your left at the end. From the Coast Road, Coming into Llandudno along the Coast Road (B5115) from Rhos-on-Sea turn 2nd left into Carmen Sylva Road. Go straight on at the crossroads and Rosebery Avenue is 1st on the right with Buxton House being first on your right.

Superb family friendly accommodationWe stayed for two nights at Buxton House. Nigel and Corinne were fantastic hosts, made us feel very welcome and were particularly helpful with our 8-month old baby. Great breakfasts and tea and biscuits in the afternoon!

Top marks for Buxton House!Earlier in the year we stayed in another B&B just around the corner and it was not a patch on Buxton House. Buxton House is a great B&B. Nigel and Corrine make you extremely welcome and put everything into making sure that you have a comfortable stay.

This B & B is brilliant! Really friendly hosts that give great advice of what to do in the local area, when my partner and I travelled most tourist attractions where shut ( Late November ) but that did not take away from the beauty of the area! You are down the road from Conwy which is a lovely town. Llandudno itself has some beautiful victorian buildings,lovely cafes & bars and even though the weather was cold, the landscape, stunning!! We will definitely be making a return trip in the future! Highly recommended!!

We had an overnight stay at this bed & breakfast which was comfortable. The room was smaller than anticipated although adequate for our needs and the breakfast was good. The host and hostess were both very helpful and pleasant.

The welcome we had was fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone of my friends or family. The hosts were very friendly but completely professional. There were so many nice extra touches eg: Bottle of wine and card in room for my partners birthday. They knew the area well which was a help to us newcomers. The decor and maintenance of the property was finished to a very high standard, to be honest it was a very superior B&B. Can't wait to stay again!!

the B&B is well situated for walking into llandudno and the cleanliness cannot be faulted however in my opinion as a family we were not made to feel welcome . i booked the family room and advised them of the age of my children , upon arrival we were greeted by the owners and immediatley my son (5) was told to be quiet and shh! as other guests were staying - dont get me wrong but i am appreciative of others but it was 3pm in the afternoon and no one else was around . the room is large with a double bed and 2 put me up beds for the kids which is fine however the room was filled with orniments that were not child friendly as in made of glass and china . we had to clear the room of these as we felt it was an accident waiting to happen . on our 1st morning we went for breakfast which as already stated in other reviews was good . however again the owners lack of child friendliness came into play when she made an issue about my kids dropping some dry frosties onto the chair .i did not need this to be pointed out and also the owner commented on the fact we had been up early and she hoped for us to have a later start the next day .i feel this B&B is misadvertising its family room as to me a family with kids the age mine are (and they were aware of the age before i went) was not made to feel unwelcome , we struggled with bags and young kids and no help was offered(even though we witnessed the owner carring bags in for a gentleman who checked in on his own!) may be they should put an age limit on the kids staying as in my opinion its more suited to older kids ie 12 and above as having to keep telling my kids to be quiet and not make noise did not make for a nice break . i the have stayed at numerous places with late rooms but wold not recommend this to people with young familys unless you can turn the volume down on your youngsters and make sure they dont miss there mouths and that they sleep late. i have never written a report on anywhere i have stayed before but due to this

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we pulled up in our car. We would not hesitate in staying there again, very peaceful surroundings and very well located for walks along the promenade into Llandudno. Everything inside was beautifully presented.

Really pleased with our stay at the Buxton Hotel. We were made to feel really welcome. The family room was ideal for our family of four (children aged 11& 15). Hotel and room were very clean. We are not often tempted to stay B&B having been disappointed in the past but we would definitely recommend The Buxton. We would go back tomorrow. First time at LLandudno too and we were really impressed. Excellent for a quieter family weekend but has everything you need.
