New England is one of the regions first populated by European settlers, with Puritans arriving in droves in the early to mid-17th century. This rich history is still visible in the architecture throughout the region, with New England’s top sights including the Freedom Trail in Boston, First Baptist Church in America in Providence and Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth.

The largest airport in New England is Logan International Airport in Boston, which welcomes flights from around the United States and rest of the world. You can also fly into several other New England cities, such as Portland, Hartford and New Haven if you prefer to start your holiday elsewhere.
