Lets you enjoy Nice to its fullestWe had an absolutely great time in Hotel Splendid. The hotel and rooms are well kept and have all the facilities that you could need to enjoy this amazing city to its fullest. The hotel is a real blast from the past displaying a range of nostalgic retro luxuries from its classy heritage that we did not use, but could just appreciated. There are signs of updating, especially in the lobby toilets, but I hope that they do not lose their retro heritage. The pool, bar and restaurant on the roof gave us a view of the entire nice. Having breakfast in the sun overlooking Nice is just a treat. One of the best things is the relaxed but yet professional attitude of management that was flexible to our enjoyment. One example is the roof pool is open to swim on late at night to let us enjoy the lights of Nice in a way that suited us.If you want to go to nice and enjoy the city to its fullest without worries then this is the hotel for you.

Our Holiday Stay at the Splendid Hotel Nice 2009Great hotel. Very tidy and well kept. Lobby was also very clean and tidy. The breakfast food was very high quality food. The food at the bar was lovely too. We really enjoyed our stay at the Splendid Hotel. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi were great. We went there every day. The name explains it all. It really was a splendid hotel.

Splendid Hotel, Nice May 2009The hotel was good, location was excellent for all ameneties - shops, site seeing, train station and bus stop for the airport. The room was small but adequate, we had a balcony with a nice view. The pool and terrace on the roof was great for afternoon sunbathing after a busy day sightseeing, although the drinks were very expensive. Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly recomend this hotel.

Good position for visitors. Hotel was under refurbishment, we were not warned and workmen started at 9.00 am every morning. Reception were not to helpful

The breakfast was expensive and very poor. The air conditioning in our room did not work, which made the room very hot.

The Splendid Hotel in Nice is an excellent hotel, situated in a lovely area, quite close to the sea and the shopping areas. We were only sorry that we had only one night to spend there.

Excellent hotel and staff. Very close to the main promenade. The pool on the roof is small but lovely views over the city (and jacuzzi is nice touch!). A little expensive but modest given the surrounding area and price rates. Did not eat there as cheaper to have breakfast out but looked nice from what we saw.
