Went to visit my God-daughter and decided to make a reservation at this hotel. Overall, I was pleased with how quiet and clean the room was. The room also came with a nice patio area which faced the pool and had a couple chairs and a small table. The pool and lounge areas were surprisingly clean and nicely maintained. The only negative was that the T.V. inside the room was placed off to the side of the bed so it was difficult to watch T.V. from bed.

This hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. The guest staying in the next room was a chain smoker and was smoking in their room. The smoke seeped through the door cracks between their room and ours. We called the front desk and reported the smoke; no one ever came. 2 hours later - smoke still filling our room. Walked to the front desk and demanded a new room or action on the smoker. No rooms were available. Had to deal with smoke in our room all night long. Horrible service!

We were in town with my son's soccer team to participate in the Kern River Crude Oil Classic tournament. This was our first time staying in Bakersfield. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful, giving directions, bringing extra towels and other items. I would have liked to have had a microwave oven in the room. Overall, it was a good experience.

Since our Little League team had to book a large block of rooms, I called the hotel directly. X went out of her way to make sure all of the team families could stay together booking the rooms in just a short amount of time. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the grounds and pool spotless. The buffet breakfast had everything anyone could want and was delicious. Best of all was the hotel staff. Every staff member was helpful, friendly, and professional. We will definatley stay at this hotel again.

I loved this hotel. It was very comfortable and the rooms were great. However, there was no attached restaurant or bar. Not that big a deal with two local establishments within a two minute walk.

The hotel was VERY clean and the staff was super. Our room's air conditioner was VERY noisy. We asked for another room but were told there were none available. Then the clerk gave us the room next door. That air conditioner was not a lot better. Sleeping was difficult, to say the least. We've stayed here before and this was the first problem we've had.

Clean and convenient.Very comfy bed. No complementary breakfast. Very convenient location, easy in and easy out. Super comfy bed and very clean room. Great for a one night stay after a long travel day. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks.

Clean room for the most part; hairs in the bathroom area; modern decor. Noisy courtyard; room next tobusy ice machine. Not a hotel I would pay full price for. Overall, a decent hotel. Did not utilize the pool or dine in the restaurant (breakfast only). Wasnot informed prior that room service is available from a nearby restaurant. Not having room service or restaurant for dinner on hotel property was a disappointment.

I loved the huge bed and the hot hot water in the shower. The AC/heat is controlled by the company, not the guest and it was too warm in the room at times. This is a great Marriott. It is the second time I have stayed there and I will stay there again.

The door to the shower/toilet opened onto the sink area. Very awkward! Brushing teeth having the door open onto you by fellow traveler. Pretty lobby, great outdoor space. Nice sitting area in lobby for rest and coffee. Free coffee and ice water offered with lemon offered in lobby for refreshment.

Very well maintained, non smoking facility, friendly, comfortable lounge. The pool was not heated. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice and comfortable the entire facility was. From the room to the lobby/lounge, everything was clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious with a patio leading to the pool entrance.
