A Very Enjoyable StayThe hotel is situated in a very good location, only a short walk to the town centre and close to numerous restaurants and bars. The hotel has FREE on site parking, was well maintained and very clean. The quality of the food was very good and the service excellent. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent place to stayThe hotel is on the edge of the town centre meaning everything is on the doorstep but without any early morning drunken antics. The welcome & attitude of the owners throughout the whole stay was wonderful & very friendly. Full english breakfast was lovely and set you for the day ahead. Everything was really clean & the room tidy between the days of our stay was beyond what we expected.There were only 2 minor down sides to this hotel;1. The car park is difficult to find at first (situated in cul-de-sac at back of the hotel)2. Our room had a bath with shower attachment - making it tough for people who only take showers.Would stay there again & recommend to anybody.

We received a very friendly welcome and could not fault the accommodation at all - our room was very clean and spacious and contained useful information on the area.The breakfast room was very pleasant with a choice to suit most people.Overall it had a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. We had a really relaxing weekend break and plan to stay there again.

Gem of a hotelThis is a fantastic place to stay for any Conference delegate.The service; cleanliness and quality of food was all first rate and couldn't be faulted. The owner was very accommodating and struck the right balance between being informative but not intrusive.Would recommend wholeheatedly.

My stay at AlveraIt was a very enjoyable stay. Comfortable, clean and value for money. The breakfast was substantial and freshly cookec and would set you up for a day in Harrogate. The only negative point is car parking which is limited and the hotel premises.

Unfortunatley we experienced a bad reception in that we arrived on a cold wet afternoon and were not even welcomed before we were told where to park the car in a very huried fashion. We were a party of two couples and the two ladies had to wait on te front step whilst the car was parked. This did not set us of on a very good footing.Management ResponseI am sorry that after having stayed with us for 3 nights, the only comments are about parking their car when they arrived.

Balloon Flight WeekendFriendly and accomodating staff and room was good. The Hotel is ideal for the Conference Centre and thetown centre less than 5 mins walk away, Harrogate is perfect for strolls either in the town or the numerous parks and plenty of restaurants, bars and of course the Spa with Turkish Baths to keep you entertained. Plenty do nearby as well at many local attractions.

A Pleasant WeekendWe had an excellent weekend with no complaints due to the following :-1 a welcoming and efficient host2 exceptionally clean3 all the amenities in the room that we needed4 location could not have been better for centre and nice restaurants within 5 minutes. We used Brio's and B.E.D. for our evening meal 5 breakfast was served quickly and cooked perfectly although slightly selection limited compared to large hotel but this is understandable and did not cause a problemWe have normally stayed in a large hotel and nearly always had cause for compaint , this made a pleasant change and we will look at stayig in this type of accommodation again.

We enjoyed A short weekend break at Alvera Court. The owners were very friendly, the accommodation basic but very clean and comfortable. Only yards from town with plenty of eating places. and bars. Breakfast was lovely. Only criticism was that breakfast was very early for us, 8 - 9 am which for a weekend was too early. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, who likes early mornings.

Fantastic stay and unforgettable friendlinessSpecial thanks to Alvera Court for providing me with such a friendly environment. The breakfast was very well prepared and the coffee was an absolute brilliant start of the day! Rooms were very clean and everything was very well organized. I felt very comfortable despite travelling alone as hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. A very homely hotel not to be missed when visiting Harrogate!

Would highly recommendWe stayed here for two nights in late March. The hotel is very well located opposite the conference centre and a short walk from the centre of Harrogate. Our room was of a good size, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fast, efficient and of very good quality. No problems, very friendly and highly recommended - we will be back.

romantic weekend away, without the childrenwe were greeted by the owner in the car park who has seen us arrive 2 hours before check in. he kindly took us to our rooms and gave us a very thorough explanation of the tv! we enjoyed our 5 minute walk into town to go to Harrogate spa - an absolute must for busy parents who work full time in hectic jobs! we found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and quiet. It was perfect for us and we considered it to be excellent value for money - especially considering the prices that you can pay in Harrogate. in the evening we ate at BED - again only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and cannot recommend that highly enough either!

How we found the AlveraOur room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We were met on arrival, helped with parking and shown to our room. The owners were always pleasant and helpful. Free parking is available - very useful in Harrogate.There are no lifts and we found the stairs quite tiring. Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 8.30am which we thought rather early. I would have liked more variety of uncooked breakfast foods eg more fruit and different sorts of bread.We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Customer service was fine. Cleaniness was impeccable. Room was nice and bright,but with bath and a shower head that you hold, would have preferred a proper shower cubicle, this can also be asked when booking.Good value for moneyFood was really good and nice selection, plates were nice and hot for serving main Breakfast

We received a warm, friendly welcome on arrival. Our en-suite room was also warm, recently decorated, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had all the facilities we wanted at this small family run hotel. Although the choices were not as wide as one would expect in a large hotel, they were very good for a hotel of this type. The breakfast was well cooked, and the food itself of good quality, resourced locally where possible. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we felt relaxed and comfortable.

Extremely friendly service and an excellent room. We only had a glimpse of Harrogate on our stay but intend to return and will certainly stay at the Alvera Court again.
