A cherished city arena on Allegheny River, PNC Park is home to MLB’s Pittsburgh Pirates. It features a natural-grass surface and a seating capacity of almost 39,000 for baseball games. A dedicated concourse houses 69 luxury suites, while field and mezzanine levels feature private lounges.
A riverfront terrace and river walk offer space for strolling and picnics before games and former Pirate player Manny Sanguillen sponsors an outdoor barbecue run. Eateries inside the venue centre around the “Tastes of Pittsburgh” food court and offer hometown specialities, such as Benkovitz Seafood and Primanti Brothers Italian sandwiches.
Outside baseball season you can attend special events and musical concerts. Headliner entertainers have included The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Jimmy Buffett. You might recognise PNC Park from such films as “She’s Out of My League” and “Jack Reacher”.
Getting There
PNC Park sits across from Federal Street in the North Shore area of Pittsburgh. Parking is available on site, while buses, light rail and Gateway Clipper shuttles provide transportation directly to the park. A water limo service runs on game days, docking about a 15-minute walk away.
