The World of Coca-Cola is a flagship museum of The Coca-Cola Company situated at Pemberton Place in downtown Atlanta, Georgia’s Centennial Park District. The complex contains an interactive exhibition of the history of Coca-Cola supplemented with hands-on activities. It is a prime tourist attraction for the city of Atlanta, serving more than one million visitors on an annual basis.
Highlights of the venue include a theatre that displays the short film “Moments of Happiness”, and the Vault of the Secret Formula where visitors are taken through a multimedia journey of the history of the original Coca-Cola recipe. The virtual tastemaker is an additional point of interest where guests can formulate their own drink concoctions using the company’s trademark ingredients. Bottle Works serves as a behind-the-scenes tour of the production process, and there is also a Pop Culture Gallery and Coca-Cola Store.
The nearest MARTA stations to the World of Coca-Cola are situated at the Peachtree Centre and Dome Station. It is less than a 15-minute walk to the complex from either station. There is a parking garage designated for personal vehicles on site. Taxis and rental cars are additional forms of transit throughout the area.
The Pemberton Place World of Coca-Cola Complex built in 2007 replaced the previous location on Martin Luther King Dr built in 1990. There are other Coca-Cola museums all over the world including in Chicago, Dubai, Las Vegas and Singapore.
