Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is one of New York City's top event venues, hosting everything from business conferences to international trade fairs. A million-dollar location in the heart of Manhattan makes it the showcase venue of choice for more than 40,000 companies a year.
The centre prides itself on its eco credentials and recently installed a two-hectare green roof, one of the largest in the United States. Guided rooftop tours take you up to the urban oasis, which is home to over two dozen bird species, five bat species and thousands of honeybees.
For a taste of life in the Big Apple, check out the adjacent Hudson Yards development, a buzzing enclave featuring trendy cafes, bars and restaurants. The convention centre is just steps from the High Line, a two-kilometre-long elevated greenway set on a former spur of the New York Central Railroad.
