All Fur Coat & No KnickersFilthy room - kettle looked like some builders had been using it. The cake of grime on the taps was disgusting. The shower barely worked. Tired and very out-dated. Cares for it's golfers more than it's guests. Can't clean the rooms, yet they won't let you eat there in the evening without a tie or with jeans or trainers on. Was totally ignored at breakfast so didn't get properly fed. Having stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln the night before (which was cheaper) we got to see brilliant and terrible hotels back to back. Needs a time-machine!

anniversary breakwas kind of dissapointed by the room, i know it is peak season but our room had no views and no accessable windows to look outof, also the room was kind of out dated and the decor was tired, also paid over the top for the room also put in a request for soya milk and that wasnt even looked at when i got to reception.

Excellent value for money.Good clean hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast excellent. Located close to the beach.Excellent value for money for the single room compared to some of these motorway chaind that are looking scruffy and need a revamp.

The first thing that we were greeted with on entering our room was the sound of someone splashing and singing in the bath in the room above. For £49 the room was good value, however, the thin walls and noisy plumbing really let the place down. A few hours after check in we realised that the light in the bathroom did not work so we had to go down to reception to report the matter. After waiting a few minutes at the reception desk, the receptionist arrived. She said she would send somebody up ASAP. True to her word someone did come and sort it out within minutes.Breakfast was great, and plenty to choose from, but it's a shame that the waiting staff were cold and unfriendly.

a truly stunning hotelWe had considered going to the North shore hotel but we were concerened that with it bing a golfing hotel we wouldnt be catered for ,how wrong we were it is a beautiful hotel staff and management alike went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and nothing was too much hassle for them .Rooms are clean and tidy and if you stay in the lodge you can watch the golfers teeing off at six in the morning .We have enjoyed our stay at the hotel so much we will be going back at the end of june to celebrate my birthday .

looking forward to booking again.....through late rooms!Visited with my husband and 2 year old son. The room was very spacious, a cot was provided as requested. We had a great view of both the golf course and the sea. The room was dated and would have benefited from a makeover. Don't really think beige carpets in a hotel are a good idea. They show every stain! Having said that, don't let this put you off. We got Bed and breakfast for only £49, really impressed with what we got for the price. Before going we were a little apprehensive due to previous reports stating the hotel wasn't child friendly. We only stayed for a night but didn't encounter any problems. The hotel is right on the beach, we had glorious weather...it was almost like we were abroad. Almost!!!!!

Excellent location and great rooms and staffDid not eat at the hotel. It was a great location, great staff. It was wonderful to go for a morning run on the beach. The people in the hotel were warm and friendly and the town was fun to explore and photograph.

Ant-tasticThe receptionist was very nice, as was the breakfast but we were put in the outhouse some 30 metres from the hotel so it was cold, as the windows had been left unlocked and open and there were several ants walking around our Tea/Coffee bit. We didn't complain as we only paid £45 but I wouldn't be too happy if I had paid full whack for it.

The Reception and Dining Room staff provided exceptional high service level, whilst being polite and enquiring as to your needs, they also followed through by meeting those needs in a very professional wayAlthough the rooms are looking a little dated, they are maintained and cleaned to an above average standard.

The only fault with our whole stay at The North Shore Hotel was that the beige carpet was rather stained in our room. Apart from that - it was faultless - the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful.

We enjoyed the old fashionedd grandeur of the hotel and the setting above the sea looking out over the golf links. The hotel had its own special character.

Bed uncomfortable and very small, but other than that, the room I stayed in was great. This is not really a family hotel and as I was travelling alone with a baby the lack of a ramped entrance or lift to rooms did make life quite difficult, but the staff were all really friendly and offered help if I needed it, especially the lady on reception. My trouble is I'm an independant sort who prefers not to have to ask!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night with our 2 year old child and didnt feel at all welcome. There were no other families in the hotel and the other residents were mainly golfers that were there to use the adjacent golf course. We were frowned at by the other residents if our child made a sound! The receptionist that was on on the morning of our departure was the only friendly face I found. The restaurant staff looked permanantly unhappy and unapproachable. Our room however was lovely, we were told at the time of booking that no triple rooms were available but upon arrival we were allocated a huge triple room with fantastic sea views and a view over the 10th hole. Breakfast was lovely but had to be somewhat rushed as our daughter was being a typical 2 year old and the looks of disgust we were getting from the other residents made us feel uncomfortable. I would stay here again but only when my daughter is older and i would only pay the Laterooms price not the hotels full rate.

Nice hotel, great location, superb sea views, lovely breakfast. Miserable young receptionist to welcome you, dont expect a smile when you arrive! Other than that would recommend!

Although this hotel is 15 minutes walk from the town center it's 30 secs from the beach. There were plenty of complimentary drinks and the room and bathroom were large. Service was friendly and the food was good. The only very slight let down was the staining of the carpets in the room. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
