We enjoyed the old fashionedd grandeur of the hotel and the setting above the sea looking out over the golf links. The hotel had its own special character.

Bed uncomfortable and very small, but other than that, the room I stayed in was great. This is not really a family hotel and as I was travelling alone with a baby the lack of a ramped entrance or lift to rooms did make life quite difficult, but the staff were all really friendly and offered help if I needed it, especially the lady on reception. My trouble is I'm an independant sort who prefers not to have to ask!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night with our 2 year old child and didnt feel at all welcome. There were no other families in the hotel and the other residents were mainly golfers that were there to use the adjacent golf course. We were frowned at by the other residents if our child made a sound! The receptionist that was on on the morning of our departure was the only friendly face I found. The restaurant staff looked permanantly unhappy and unapproachable. Our room however was lovely, we were told at the time of booking that no triple rooms were available but upon arrival we were allocated a huge triple room with fantastic sea views and a view over the 10th hole. Breakfast was lovely but had to be somewhat rushed as our daughter was being a typical 2 year old and the looks of disgust we were getting from the other residents made us feel uncomfortable. I would stay here again but only when my daughter is older and i would only pay the Laterooms price not the hotels full rate.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good and served quickly. We found all the staff friendly and courteous. It was a nice spacious room.

stayed at the North Shore Hotel Skegness many times and would recommend to all. Greated by really friendly staff. Great value for money with really nice food! We got a sea front room-which made the stay even better.

Very good value for money. Never knew it was collar & tie for eating in the restaurant in the evenings. Otherwise all good here :)

Although the North Shore Hotel Skegness is 15 minutes walk from the town center it's 30 secs from the beach. There were plenty of complimentary drinks and the room and bathroom were large. Service was friendly and the food was good. The only very slight let down was the staining of the carpets in the room. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, great location, superb sea views, lovely breakfast. Miserable young receptionist to welcome you, dont expect a smile when you arrive! Other than that would recommend!

The receptionist were both quite flippant and not very interested in service just get you in and get you out. Although the breakfast was lovely the waitress tried to sit us at a table she was wiping the crumbs off with her hand as we were standing there, we refused the table and found one on our own. We requested a non smoking room which we got but the halls and hotel were puitred with smoke so it was a bit pointless. Hopefully this will change with the new laws this year. The views from our room were really lovely but the furniture was old and not pleasant and the carpet was very stained. Could be a really great hotel if they lifted there game.

The young lady manning the reception when i checked in was totally dis-interested, as was the lady on morning check out. Perhaps a course on customer service would be appropriate
