I wanted to stay downtown. It was everything I could have wanted. The hotel was 5 star to me. It had doormen that were always at your beck and call. They treated you with respect and the desk was the same way. I needed help with airport accommodations and they had the driver pick me up at the airport and later take me back. (the only problem was the drivers did not speak English, but we got along ok) The rooms were great and clean and very nice. They had flowers in the hallways on each floor by the elevators. The cleaning people were extremely nice and friendly. They furnished bottled water in the refrigerator and if you needed more that was no problem. This hotel was back to back with the big catholic cathedral, and in front of the cathedral was the Iguana park. Very neat. In front of the hotel were the streets and the street vendors and small shops to buy things. There were roasting bananas things to look at and buy and much more. Very interesting. I can not say enough about this great hotel.

Cleanliness, privacy, bar, food (buffet), conveniently located behind a catholic church. I really liked it. Great place I would chose it again.

.My wife and i stayed in this Hotel several nights in 3 different rooms during 10 days in Ecuador. We cant say enough about the people that work in this hotel and the great rooms we had. Perfectly clean and comfortable. The staff helped us with everything,picked us up at the airport,dropped us off at the airport and every thing else we needed they helped us with. The free breakfast was wonderfull and the pool in the courtyard behind the church was beautiful. Before we left for Guayaquil we looked at the 2 posts on this site,one being negative and i just didnt think the negative post made any sence so i gave this hotel a chance and if i ever go to Guayaquil agian i wouldnt think twice about booking at this hotel agian. It was a very fair price with all the ameniitys one could ask for and so close to the Malacon and the Iguana Park. Thanks for the great time and i hope the 6 bottles of rum i left for the guys that work the lobby was enjoyed!!

Excellent Service. WiFi did not work 100%. Very nice place to stay, clean, quiet and comfortable.

Having booked a double room we were told on arrival that we had a single room. They did come up with a double room but, when checking out, tried to charge us $12 for an extra person. We booked the 8.00 am shuttle to the airport, arriving at Reception at 07.45 to be told that there wasn't one. We finally left at 08.30. Not an awful hotel - just too many mistakes for a pleasant stay.

No complaints. Our room was on the street side of the hotel and was rather noisy; pool had debris in it from overhanging tree limbs. Generally good. Liked friendly, helpful staff and 30-minute free internet daily.

Food. Dark drab room, night staff at front desk needs improvement. Moderate rate is appropriate with value. The local Ramada offers more for less.
