Small bed changed for a larger bed (also small). No comfortable chairs (only one small desk chair) Extra charges for not so larger bed...

perfectly set in a VERY nice suburban community...we just needed a place to stay near our friends in studio city...didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for just one night so we chose calabasas since we knew it was a nicer area...nice accomodations for the money!

As with most low end hotels, bed type makes a huge price difference... i.e. same room size with two beds, a king, or anything other than a double bed goes up HUGELY in price. I happen to be handicapped, and they forgot to keep a first floor room for me (I can just barely do stairs - no elevator available) - and they wanted *to get a room on the first floor because it had two beds... Very bad form as far as I'm concerned

I looked at reviews before staying here. I was very disappointed in the customer service here. I would mention problems with my room and they never changed the linens or solved the problems or even offered me a new room. The continental breakfast consisted of muffins and a short supply of cheese danishes, coffee and orange juice. That's it. Location was nice because it was located near Albertsons, Starbucks, Mcdonalds and freeway. Would not stay there again. Outside, the hotel looks real nice. Inside the rooms, not so great. Next time, I will spend a little more money and go somewhere else.

We had a wedding in Malibu to attend and this motel was something like 12 miles from the wedding location. The price seemed good compared to the $300 it would have cost to stay in Pacific Palisades or Malibu. We arrived on a Friday around 3pm and had to wait in line behind 6 other parties to check in. I was disappointed by the wait and felt bad for the rep behind the counter who was stressed and needed more help. I don't like to see over-worked employees, but maybe I'm too sensitive. We were given an ADA compliant room in the very back of the motel. I need to say that the room was retrofitted to accommodate a wheelchair because it was done very poorly. I work at a university and all of our offices, residence halls and restrooms were built to accommodate wheelchairs and you'd never notice. Wider doorways and adjustable tables just blend in to the decor. This room was in bad shape. The bed was lowered, or rather, the bed did not have a frame and the mattress was ridiculous. Don't roll over or you'll roll off the bed, if you toss and turn you'll toss your partner out of the bed.The shower head was on an adjustable pole but the highest it went was 5 feet so you have to crouch down to be under the stream. The bathroom floor had dirty shoe prints on it, the comforter had cigarette burns in it and the carpet made my socks dirty. Then they have the nerve to leave a card explaining how it takes a lot of water to wash sheets in every room every day and that if you absolutely need your sheets washed you must leave this card on the bed. Seriously? This place isn't clean. We called twice to ask for another room and we were told they were booked. I counted at least a dozen unoccupied rooms on the ground floor. I feel like we were given the worst room because we booked online. And I'm angry that they have such terrible accommodations for people who use wheelchairs and I am not even disabled! Breakfast is a joke: heavy oily muffins that don't need an expiration date and coffee with

I spent 6 nights in january because I had business in Calabasas and the location is great. Ask for rooms with fridge if they have. Everything is clean and the front desk people are pretty nice. Be careful, using the phone in the room is very expensive. Concerning the breakfast, it's just coffee, orange juice and muffins (small pastries), nothing continental. A good choice for passing by.

They charge for wireless internet - that ok, however it didn't work for Windows Vista. It really messed me up. Also - I was overcharged for one night.

The hotel is clean, quiet and very peaceful. The staff were friendly, helpful and great. It is close to Malibu beaches. Enjoyed checking out The Commons shopping center and Leonis Adobe Museum. The only thing I did not like was the hotel is located in the middle of no where, but they have a supermarket next door, Starbucks, Micky D's and a few other little shops and restaurants.

This was a very basic room at a very good price. Nothing fancy and close to the 101. For the price, it was a great value and about 20-80 dollars a night less than other comparable rooms. A hotel room for me is a place to sleep and I do not need a lot of frills. This place is a great value and suited me needs.

we were on vacation location great but staff at hotel unfriendly. When asking a question it was like you were bothering them. Parking was terrible. spaces are for small cars only. Lady in charge of cleaning our room did a poor job we were there 9 days.

Stayed about 10 days. Rooms were comfortable, but a bit small. Yes, there are dataports in each room, but they don't do anything, so only internet access is the wifi at 4.95/day. And they also have a 'no pet' policy.

The location was a haven away from the maddening crowds of LA. For my purpose, the location was perfect and very convenient. Rellativey quiet considering it was right off 101(you could throw a rock at it), close to 405, close to the Getty Museum, and Ventura Blvd. where you can get just about every kind of food or service. The hotel had a light continental breakfast, but it was removed by nine a. m., too early for my tastes after driving ten hours. But a nice bonus if you can get there on time for the reasonable price of the room. They offer a generous senior discount.

This place was clean, but the room was very small. We got a room with one queen bed, and that was about all that fit in there. Defintely if you want to stay here, get a room with 2 double beds just for the extra space. We weren't in our room much, but if you plan on relaxing at all, consider a big room or someplace else to stay. There was no continental breakfast, nor the normal things you find even in budget hotels, such as paper, a pen, etc. The people were nice, we had no problems.

This hotel was a great deal! It was very clean and in a great location. The rooms are small but very efficient, and the hotel is in great shape. The pool and the hot tub were very clean, too. We loved the location in a really nice area with easy access to the highway and not far from beaches, shopping, and restaraunts.

We stayed 2 nights in May and it was really nice for the money. The only thing the pool was freezing, but the hot tub was hot. nice location and very close to real nice scenery and easy access top the beach a few miles away.

L.A. was confusing so we got lost alot. On the way to the hotel we got lost but we didn't mind at all because we ended up in Santa Monica and Malibu! If your going to this hotel, definately stay on the I-10 and drive on Pacific Coast Highway. The hotel is only about 8 miles from Malibu beach. When you get there, it is conviently located right off the 101, and also right next to an Albertsons Grocery store. Also there is a shopping center about 5 minutes away with a movie theatre, Barnes and Noble, Johnny Rockets, and a bunch of cafe's and shops. The hotel looks like something right off the beach with white trim and light green/gray panels. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. FREE PARKING IS A PLUS IN LOS ANGELES. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're traveling on a budget!

My stay was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful, but it seemed that the were always a little under staffed. The check in took a little long, I was not acknowledge when I walked in and the lobby was filled with guess attempting to sign-in. The room was always cleaned very well. Over all I was pleased and I was surprised when the room had a fridge. I would stay there again.

was okay, clean, but poor breakfast
