In Wenshan you’ll find Taipei Zoo, one of the largest zoos in Asia. It’s a global leader in conservation and education, and there are animals here from around the world. The Giant Panda House is a longstanding favourite with visitors, but you should also make time to see the penguin, koala and great hornbill exhibits.
You’ll find a constant buzz of activity in Wenshan, and at night, the highlight attraction is the Jingmei Night Market. You can come here to buy your groceries or eat snacks from the street side stalls, or find a range of health and beauty treatments. Why not try a knife massage or facial? The night market is busy with locals, offering a captivating atmosphere that is popular for people watching and photography.
Wenshan is on the Taipei Metro network, served by the Wenhu and Songshan–Xindian Lines. There are 10 stations that fall within the district, making many of the city’s attractions easy to reach.
