    You Can Easily Walk Everywhere

The staff are brilliant and truly make this hotel beyond extraordinary. Nothing is too much inconvenience and they are continuously discretely willing to help you. The butler and check in process are brilliant. The rooms are tremendous and marvelously appointed with no tasteless highlights being evident. The bed and pads are unbelievably great. the lavatory with both a bath and great separate shower is nice. The location is good and within easy walking distance of all attractions and restaurants.

    Beautifully Restored Hotel

I spent two wonderful nights in this gem of a hotel. I don't even know how to start the review. Its beautiful, the staff are fantastic, the location is great, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the ambience and vibe is great. I spend the first day enjoying the room until 3pm before venturing out for a walking tour and dinner. After dinner i headed to Sarkies bar for drinks until midnight. The restoration and luxury details in this hotel are fantastic and you just want to take photos of everything. The bathroom amenities are Hermes and the butler service is fantastic and so very friendly. I can't recommend staying here enough! even though its on the high side for hotels in Yangon, this hotel is a piece of history and something you won't regret splurging on. Thank you so much.

    Grand and Luxurious!

It is such a delight to find a little nook of peace and quiet in the bustling city of Rangoon. Many thanks to Mr. Murry-Brown for all his help when I was there. I couldn't ask for more. Every floor has a butler so it's very convenient if you need anything. As for the butler service, it does depend on who's on the roster in my opinion. But this is true anywhere. The breakfast was simply wonderful and you must visit the shop where you could find rare history books and cookbooks. Had dinner at the restaurant. If you miss good bread in the city, this is the place to find some! Unforgettable! Chef Martena and Clara set high standards indeed. The Bar shakes up a neat Pegu Club if I might add. The British High Commission, Post Office and the British Council are a stone's throw away. The Strand has character and history is sprinkled in every corner. It is one of the highlights of my trip to Myanmar. Truly a must visit.
