Our first stop on an extended tour of South America. Whilst I wouldn't normally suggest that a view of the cemetery is a major attraction, Recoleta is so famous that it was a pleasure to be so close to this much history. Our 14th floor room also overlooked the pool which was a great place to relax at the end of the day. Dazzler Recoleta turned out to be a very convenient location and, as it only served breakfast and had no evening restaurant, was close to many restaurants and eateries. We enjoyed a magnificent meal at Fervor about 10 minutes walk and said to be one of Buenos Aires most famous restaurants. We also ate at Clark's just 5 minutes away opposite Recoleta and this boasts many famous past visitors. We also walked to the fabulous Museo Nacionale de Bellas Artes and great coffee in Novocento behind the museum. Hotel room was spacious and comfortable and front desk staff friendly and helpful. Elevators were a bit slow and small so best book for a lower floor and opt to walk. There is a modern mall just round the corner where we were able to change money on first day. No complaints a great start.
