Winding through a picturesque valley, the Parc Lineaire Le P'tit Train du Nord is an abandoned railway track that's been repurposed as a multi-use recreational trail. It spans over 200 kilometres and passes through quaint towns and villages, including Mont Laurier.

Enjoy a night of culture at Espace Theatre Muni-Spec Mont-Laurier, a contemporary playhouse hosting shows from across Quebec. A short stroll away, the Mont-Laurier Exhibition Centre showcases modern art, photography and sculpture by local Canadian artists.

Getting around

The Mont Laurier town centre is easy to get around on foot, while a rental car is best for exploring the Upper Laurentians. During summer, Autobus Le Petit Train du Nord operates daily buses between St-Jerome and Mont Laurier. The town is a 2.5-hour drive from Montreal and two hours from Ottawa.
