In summer, Bognor Regis is filled with families enjoying the sunshine. You can lounge on colourful sunbeds, read a book under an umbrella or enjoy a serving of fish and chips. Just steps from the beach is an amusement park filled with fairground rides, while Bracklesham Bay offers you a chance to beachcomb for fossils.

Stretch your legs in South Downs National Park, which is known for its rolling hillsides, soaring sea cliffs and charming market towns. The park is laced with scenic hiking trails, including the iconic South Downs Way. Thanks to a total lack of light pollution, South Downs is also one of Britain's top stargazing destinations.

Enjoy a night out at the Alexandra Theatre. The historic auditorium hosts a fantastic line-up of events, including comedy acts, pantomimes and music concerts. Bognor Regis is also brimming with cosy cafes and traditional pubs, such as Brewers Fayre with its sea views and sunny patio.

Kids will love the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. It's located on the former site of RAF Tangmere, which played a key role in the Battle of Britain. Inside you can check out World War II aircraft, Cold War aviation memorabilia and flight simulators.

Getting around

Bognor Regis is best explored on foot, with the walk from High Street to the seaside taking less than 10 minutes. The town is serviced by its own railway station, which offers connections to London in 1.5 hours. Rental cars let you explore West Sussex at your own pace.
