Things to do in Berlin
Most of the action is centred along Main Street, Berlin’s bustling thoroughfare. It’s lined with a colourful collection of specialty shops and a smorgasbord of restaurants, cafes and bakeries. While you’re there, stop by the Welcome Centre to get the scoop on Berlin’s top attractions and activities.
If you like historic architecture, you’ll love Berlin. It’s home to almost 50 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Federal-style Calvin B. Taylor House. Today it features a pint-sized museum filled with local memorabilia.
Berlin maintains four public parks, all within easy walking distance of Main Street. Stephen Decatur Park is the biggest and is a great place for a picnic. It’s also dotted with some fantastic nature trails.
If you want to check out Ocean City, Berlin is a fantastic home base. With its bustling boardwalk, family friendly amusement parks and sun-drenched sandy beach, it’s one of America’s busiest seaside resorts.
Getting around Berlin
Compact and walkable, the absolute best way to explore Berlin’s historic district is on foot. This gives you a chance to stop at its quirky cafes, boutique shops and heritage buildings. If you’re driving, you can try to snag a parking space on Main Street or head to one of the nearby carparks. Ocean City is just a 15-minute drive to the east.
