THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Costa de Caparica is a small fishing town known for its more than 20 kilometers of golden sandy beaches (including naturists Belavista, 19 and Meco), Xávega art practice, summer shows and proximity to Lisbon. It is a very small, very safe city that invites for friendly and relaxing walking and cycling. MOVE: In Costa de Caparica we reach everywhere by foot, from a seaside walk, to restaurants, supermarkets, bars and local parks. The bicycle and the small train from the beaches are also options to get to know the whole coastal area. Direct buses to Lisbon take about 1h and by car or taxi it takes 30 minutes to the center of the capital (25km) and also to the airport. There is some free public parking on the street, subject to availability, which is not possible to book and is scarcer in high season.
