Location tropical paradise with tree-fort like spacious accommodation with enough verdant foliage around to make me believe that we were alone when out on our private deck, even though if we peeked through the leaves we could see numerous other forts. No worries though this adults only resort is not one to pack it in with as many tourists as possible at any given time I don't think I saw more than 50 people. And that included the staff. Romantic and private, even though some reviewers noted the sounds of the vehicles on the road near-by it was certainly not an issue, if you are expecting other people to live on or visit this island. And they do, you know. There were day excursions and we partook in a catamaran ride including snorkeling and a lobster lunch served at Half Moon Bay with the most entertaining and tight blues band accompanying our meal (photos included). Also fun on another day was a 60 foot dive with Captain Nemo and his 3 dive masters, who made the descent comfortable with great guidance and calmness oh, and did I mention you only have to walk less than 5 minutes to the beach to get these excursions, no getting on a bus and heading off to another location. Then there was the day we went shopping and to Rick's cafe. Skip the shopping Time Square (yup, you read right) is like being confined in a mini Niagara Falls tacky ville like tiny amusement park with no way out, and the next stop, the open air market is a great close-up of how impoverished some residents of this island are, including the starving dogs on the beach it just left me sad and feeling helpless. But back to Rick's a cliff side restobar all decked up with a sand dance floor, an open pavilion stage, and opportunities to free dive off the cliff, while watching the best sunset around, all while the mixed DJ tunes were blasting. A fun stop for a couple of hours. All the staff were excellent in their attentiveness, kindness and patience, and too many to note.
