Nice Location

Hotel Papa Whale has a great location only a few minutes walk from the famous Ximending area. Hotel design and atmosphere so cool, good for photo lovers. Personally like the rainforest and normal shower room and separate toilet in the room, bed was comfy. The hotel has an old world charm, from the antique collection throughout the lobby, adorable and fashionable front desk uniforms, and cozy room decor and fixtures. Wifi connection is kind of complicated, need to ask staff to assist and need to reconnect again after certain hours, due to mobile signal in the room really weak.

Pretty New Hotel

The location of this boutique hotel was good for getting around as it was just a walking distance to shops, foods and shopping. The hotel was clean and the design was very impressive with large hallways. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The bath was separated from the toilet with great amenities. Hotel staff were accommodating and pleasant that made our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The room was no window. The breakfast they offer was just their local food with no other option just shabu shabu. They don't have spoon and folk and no drinking water during our meal. The free internet connection was very slow and unreliable.

not fantastic

liked the design of the hotel. stayed at basement level, toilet had a strong sewage stench which was bad. Unlike international hotels or even most hotels, they do not allow late check out, they charge you by the hour even if you have stayed for a number of days with them. very mercenary. hotel concierge does not sound friendly at all when you ask them for stuff.
