I found this gem after needing someplace central and close to the airport for an affordable price. Also, I am always exploring places here in Ethiopia while speaking in depth with hospitality vendors and tour providers/ The Ag Palace hotel is near the airport and close enough to the central city center as a first time visitor needs unless having a specific plan or working a detailed itinerary? Loads of activities and shops and venues nearby if you can brave the short walk to the main road and rail system? Like many the smaller and budgeted hotels in Addis Ababa the grounds are situated and surrounded by local dwellers, offering the best insights and newest of smells of those not well seasoned or too boxed in to see and witness poverty close-up. To be fair the hotel has good security and the path best walked by day and driven to at night/ The reception staff speaks English and the food and rooms and amenities are more than adequate for budgeted travelers and the not so needing pampered. All in all this hotel is excellent value and offers services befitting an excellent review while being clean - comfortable and nifty feeling. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
