Tangerang is a city located in Banten, Indonesia and is home to numerous fascinating attractions including the famous Al-A’zhom Mosque and its authentic old quarter. The city is also known as the busiest shopping district in the Banten province home to numerous shopping malls and street markets. Known as a satellite city to the much larger Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Tangerang is only 25 kilometres away from the capital and all of the exciting opportunities to be explored there.

The city of Tangerang is perhaps best known for its vast shopping opportunities and is home to a number of large shopping centres. Tangerang is the location of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the largest in the country and the main entry point for visitors to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Located in the Benda district of Tangerang, the airport is just a short journey from central Tangerang. Alternatively, visitors coming from Jakarta can hop in a taxi or a public bus for a journey of up to two hours.

With a population of over 2 million people, Tangerang is the sixth most populous city in Indonesia. Alongside its extensive commercial industry, Tangerang is becoming increasingly popular as a centre for services such as trading and financial services owing to its close proximity to the capital of Indonesia.
