About Fairmont Waterfront

Located in the centre of Vancouver, The Fairmont Waterfront is a short walk from Cruise Ship Terminal, and just a few steps from local dining and nightlife options. This art deco hotel is an ideal choice for discovering local vineyards as it is set in the Fraser Valley Wine Region.

    Hotel Is Great

    Fairmont Waterfront Hotel is a great choice for a stay in Vancouver. The three nights we stayed here started with a warm welcome from François at the front desk. This hotel is ideally located close to the city centre and by the sea. The Arc restaurant serves thoughtful and delicious food. French fries are so delicious! The gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi can be used in a location that is reasonable. However, be aware that this hotel cannot be used as a VIP room for Fairmont Gold members, so we went to the lobby of the Fairmont Pacific Hotel next door, which is great too. (The Marina Hotel does not have a lobby area here). They even arranged a private space for us to let us read the book quietly. Jordana took us to the room, it was so beautiful! Both Fairmont are worth a visit. But we still love the Marina Hotel because the hotel service is very good.

    Great Hotel after Cruise

    I read the lobby is very busy and this is true. It tends to be very busy. It is a beautiful hotel overall. We went on a cruise and had a porter take our bags right over to the hotel which was convenient. They held all of our bags until our room was ready so we could go explore and then delivered them to our room promptly. They serve different types of fruit/herb infused water in the lobby as well as coffee near the elevators. We stayed on the 7th floor with a view of the harbor. They have ceiling to floor windows which allow you to have a magnificent view. I would recommend staying at least at the 7th floor and ask for a harbor/Canada Place view. The pool is on the 3rd floor as is the gym. It is a nice view up there as well. They make their own honey and you can see what they grow and their bees on the third floor. This honey is served at the ARC restaurant. The maid that we had was one of the nicest and most helpful I have ever had. She was just so nice and I wish I had gotten her name so I could let the hotel know what a wonderful job she did for us. They have a Keurig type machine and tea kettle for hot water. Don't touch the food or drinks as they have sensors. The rooms were in good condition and really nice. The one downside is no refrigerator. If you go below the hotel to the C floor they have a mall with shops and quick service restaurants (Tim Hortons, Starbucks, news stand, Thai, Vietnamese, McDonalds) which is a nice touch. The concierge was very helpful as well. We were able to buy tickets to the Aquarium and Grouse Mountain. The hotel has a very nice staff. I will review ARC (their restaurant under a separate review).

    Awesome View Great Staff

    The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in part for business and also to visit family. As always we were provided with exemplary treatment. At breakfast the first day we were asked by Risa Miyake, the Gold Floor supervisor, if we had asked for any special room. We had not, but mentioned in passing that it would be nice to have a water view next time. Within minutes Risa had arranged for us to move to a room with a view of the mountains and water. I am a platinum member with Fairmont, and top tier with several other hotel brands, and spend a lot of time in hotels all over the world. Risa Miyake and her team provided outstanding service during our stay. I can honestly say the service on The Gold Floor at The Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver is, in my opinion, among the best in Canada and in rates among the top for any Executive Lounge I have ever experienced. Risa deserves particular mention as she sets the tone for her colleagues. It is a very high standard as she provides that anticipatory service that one doesn't usually see in Canada but expects in top 5* hotels in Asia. In addition to her interactions with us, I also observed her interactions with other guests, each of whom she effortlessly proceeded to make feel welcome, special and as if they are a family member she is a true gem. All surpassed our expectations. If I ever get the opportunity to return to Canada I know where I’ll be staying. Everything was great the rooms, beds, shower, views, restaurant, but especially the staff. All were very friendly and helpful, and that’s from the moment we arrived and got out of our taxi, nothing was too much trouble. Once again my thanks to Kat for going above and beyond to help us out.
