This is a well established hotel in Mauritius and has an unparalleled reputation. We were not so lucky when we arrived as the weather was not at its best due to a recent anti-cyclone. However, despite this, I was super impressed by the beach and had lovely swims. The sand is fine, the sea is warm and clean. The water was of a beautiful light turquoise color. The food at the hotel is excellent, whether you order beach service or at the restaurants. Service was great. I feel that their staff have been with them for a while, which is reflected in their service. The hotel was calm and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. Spa treatments are a must. Vega does amazing deep tissue massage and would strongly recommend Natasha's Ayurvedic treatments. If I need to be picky, a couple of minor things to mention, the wardrobe in the room is old and doors a bit of a hassle. Noticed a couple always had the same best table for breakfast and dinner. Noticed that they gave some tip at breakfast to one of the waiters in charge. Thought that was a bit off. Would love to go back there. Perfect for couples or small family. Royal Palm deserves its unique prestigious reputation.
