When we took a taxi to this hotel, I realized that this hotel is very close to St. Peter's Square. When the taxi stopped at the entrance to the hotel, I found out that we were opposite the St. Peter's Square. This location is really good. St. Peter's Basilica can be seen directly from the bar and restaurant on the second floor. We go there every night for a drink, just to see the scenery. The room is completely adequate, but you have to remember that this is an old monastery converted into a hotel, so the facilities here will have some foundation. The breakfast here was very good and the staff was friendly. But the location and scenery here is definitely a selling point. we are all shocked. I will of course recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Rome.

    A Special Place!

We traveled with our best friends and stayed here for 3 nights in October. It was amazing, as It is so close to the Vatican Grounds, Museum, and St. Peter's Square. Upon check in, our double room was extremely small, and like a ship's cabin. So we asked to be upgraded to larger room. And, we were lucky to get a deluxe room, which was much larger, for a minimal fee. The buffet breakfast was very good too. The restaurant/bar on the 3rd floor has a terrace with close view of St. Peter's Square. What a wonderful, quiet place to have dinner, or just to sit and enjoy drinks or some dessert. The hotel staff, especially the bar staff were wonderful. The front desk was very courteous, were professional, efficient, and gave us outstanding customer service. They were fluent in several languages too. We definitely recommend this small but cozy hotel, as it felt very secure and private. The proximity was perfect, with across the street access to the Vatican, and many good restaurants just a short walk through the ancient walls of the Vatican grounds. Most of the time, a doormen was stationed around the secured front entry, and the hotel staff were very supportive for getting cabs, and providing information regarding times and activities. This special hotel is high on our recommendation list for Rome.
