    Jewel In Cuzco

the Palacio del Inka made the experience a pleasure. Not only because the hotel building is a historical jewel in itself, it deserves to appreciate each of its construction details and the pieces of art that adorn it, but because all the staff makes the experience unique. They are all extremely kind and dedicated to the guest not wanting to return home. Matías, from the concierge area, was our guide for the guided tour of the hotel building. His cordiality and gift of people were really a luxury. I recommend that visit, which culminates with a pisco sour class. Our teachers were Darwin and Luis, two charming people dedicated to generously share their knowledge as bartenders. The hotel restaurant and the Rumi bar are experiences worth trying, even for non-guests. The hotel lives up to the name of the chain: 'luxury'. Hopefully we can go back soon.

    Absolutely Perfect!

This beautiful and very comfortable 5-star hotel makes an ideal base in Cusco. The interiors are stunning, a combination of original Spanish and Inka architecture, filled with antiques and original paintings. Service was attentive, proper 5-star. We went on a trek, and on return stayed there one night, and it was no problem to drop our luggage there before the trek, ready for check-in. We had a standard room which was on the small side and a bit dark, but otherwise left nothing to be desired (other than maybe a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub). The bed was one of the most comfortable we had in a long time, that perception was probably helped by having walked 47 km across the mountains in the days before. The spa has an elaborate thermal circuit and competent staff, great to relieve aching muscles after trekking and by 5-star hotel standards, we didn't find the treatments too expensive. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The whole operation oozes proper 5-star comfort and service throughout, but at a significantly better price tag than some of its other 5-star competitors in Cusco. Although in the not-quite-as-nice south eastern end of the old town, I can absolutely recommend staying there. Cusco is small, and most attractions in the old town are within walking distance, and with Qurikancha being right opposite and the center with the Cathedral about 5-10 minute walk the hotel is very well located, making it a great option for a 5-star stay in Cusco.
