    Very Charming Hotel

The architecture, the decor, and the location were wonderful. This hotel brought back the memories they had of their youth with the French colonial architecture and Khmer touches and classical movies. The staff at the hotel were amazing, they really made it perfect and their mannerism was gratefully appreciated. They go out of their way to make you feel pampered and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and at the rooftop bar. Breakfast was rich, the selection of fruits and vegetables. Staff was quite helpful, speaking English quite well. For those who have realistic expectations for the price and this part of the world, this would be a great choice.

    Beautiful Hotel

Located centrally near to the central markets, the Grand Palais reminds of faded glories if the French colonial era with sweeping staircases and bold decor. The breakfast area is a stunning open topped atrium area in the middle of the hotel, which really adds to the occasion. The height of the dining room ceiling extend to the height of the whole building with a skylight roof making it open and spacious. Good selection at breakfast. Located one block from a large indoor market where the stallholders are happy to please. Accommodations were good but not luxury. You get what you pay for the price since it is budget friendly.
