We read lots of reviews before booking this holiday with our family. We came away after staying for a week very happy, and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a beach holiday in China. Firstly, the hotel was very well renovated. All the rooms had all the things we expected, with regular servicing that plenty of drinking water provided. The big bath and showers were great for all the kids and after their regular swims. The free internet was quick and easy to access to keep in touch with everyone. Location of the hotel was also good, not too far away from the airport and it's certainly walk-able distance to either Dadonghai or downtown. However, at our trip, it's too hot! That's when the hotel shuttle and taxis (not too expensive) were so helpful. The kids club was the best I've seen in any hotel. It's set up like a child care center! The staff were very keen to help, and there were even Xbox to keep the older kids entertained. Plenty of toys and other activities during the day. Restaurants, although pricey, had excellent food. Lots of choice for snacks and meals. The buffet breakfast had plenty of Chinese and Western choices, so again, everyone from my family were well served. Swimming pool facilities were fantastic. If there were negatives, then it's the English of the staff. They were always keen to help, but thankfully my dad helped me out with his Mandarin. If you can't speak any Mandarin, then you'll need to be patient. There are so many staff to thank - especially Romy, who went out of his way to help with booking our transport, but on the last day, when I almost lost my passports and computer, he spoke to everyone at the taxi company and accompanied me all the way to get my belongings back. Front counter staff like Andrew and Barbara were very helpful. All the staff at the kids club, the staff in the restaurant with trying to get us all a seat every morning - the list goes on. Were already talking about going back next time!
