Greeted by the hotel driver at the Fenghuang airport, I was setting out on the exotic 40-minute journey towards Mandarin Oriental Sanya, which is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The journey itself is undoubtedly a fabulous experience. The serpentine uphill roads to the sequestered hotel teemed with colorful tropic plants is the perfect route in Sanya to appreciate the sapphire Dadonghai, which impressed us inhabitants of cities from mainland of China. On my arrival I was prepared by a warm welcome at the lobby. And then I was put on a string of orchid petals by the hotel staff which was really alleviating my mind, body and spirit. After the appeasement, I felt refreshed miraculously seeing the sea view from the lobby despite the weary flight trip. Not until a concise introduction about my stay, I was pampered by its well-known TCM SPA treatments combining miscellaneous soothing skills and Chinese medicine tailor-made for my physical condition. Relaxed by the skillful therapist, then I realized my pleasant holiday in Sanya was beginning. Another featured services in Mandarin Oriental Sanya was its distinguishing cuisine. The roasted seafood platter and fresh Oysters in Fresh restaurant is highly recommended. Seating by the beach, we are enjoyable at the sunset. And the Chinese cuisine served in the Yiyang restaurant is also delicious. You had better try the local characteristic vegetable in Yiyang, such as stir-frying Wuzhicai and Dragon Beans. The noodle cooked in the noodle bar is also worthy of a trial. I recommend the sesame sauced sliced chick noodle. All in all, the Spa and cuisine in Mandarin Oriental Sanya is highly advised to try. Although the hardware of room decoration is not in complete mint condition, the services of Mandarin Oriental is the best in Sanya.
