    Verified Stay

    Almost Perfect

We stayed here recently for three nights. The hotel is very central and is housed in a beautiful old building. The staff were pleasant. We were delighted to receive a bottle of chilled sparkling wine and strawberries dipped in white chocolate, which were placed in our room. Sadly, we were plagued with noise on our second day as there were building works being carried out above our third-floor room. We reluctantly complained and were then moved to the sixth floor. This tainted our stay somewhat, although the staff dealt with the problem effectively. It’s a pity to be negative, but we also found parking to be a nightmare. We had to park in a busy nearby public underground car park and constantly worried about our car being damaged. The bill for three days was 75€. In summary, we enjoyed staying in this hotel and visiting the old town. We also loved the many local tapas bars. We didn’t enjoy the very busy beach packed with tourists opposite the hotel; the noise problem; or the parking arrangements. However, the view from our sixth floor room was stunning. We wouldn’t return to San Sebastian but would recommend this hotel for a short stay.
