Hotel is lovely. Room is large and the bathroom although huge and lovely marble, smelled very musky every time we used it. Our room (226) was at the end of the corridor and at the back of the hotel, window just faced a very close wall! But it meant it was nice and quiet at night away from the main square. Breakfast is great, big choice of breads and meat and hot selection, yogurts etc. Cannot complain at all. Hotel placed perfectly for the train station, where the bus from the airport dropped us (2 min walk) and all the sites. Duomo is literally a few minutes walk. Several restaurants in the Santa Maria Novella square which we ate at most nights. All very good, and right outside the front door! Roof terrace is lovely, very nice views and on our last night i sat up there reading a book whilst my son was using the fitness room. Seats up there could do with some cushions though as not very comfortable for a long stay! Definitely recommend.
