I just can't say enough about this place. I first laid eyes on the property when I was in Antigua 4 years ago. I didn't stay there at that time but swore that I would next time I returned. Sure enough, I had the good fortune of doing so this time around. This hotel is impeccably run with great attention to detail. They must have at least 1 or two people just to light and replace all the candles. The property is steeped in history and they do an amazing job in incorporating the new with the old, with incredible historic art and sculptures everywhere you look. Flower abound everywhere you look. I felt lucky to be staying there. The rooms themselves were huge and nicely decorated. I think my room was bigger than my apartment at home. I really felt like I was staying in a true luxury resort. The restaurant is equally impressive. We had the 8 course tasting menu and left full and satisfied. And at the equivalent of $55 a person, it's a relative bargain for such an opulent experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Antigua.
