The hotel Becquer is an excellent place to stay during your (short or longer) trip to Sevilla. It is ideally situated, just outside the busy touristic city centre on a 10-minute walk from the Plaza Nueva and the Avenida de la Constitucion, where all the main touristic attractions are (the beautiful San Salvador-church, the cathedral with is Giralda-belltower, the 'Archivo de Indias' and of course the Real Alcazar), the bus station (to the north, less than 10 minutes) and Puente Triana, the beginning of the very popular Triana-district. Near the hotel you will find a supermarket for the few things you might need. In less than 10 minutes around the hotel, you will find several fine restaurants (you should definitely try the trendy Mercado Lonja del Barranco) and ice cream bars. The hotel has perfectly equipped rooms, which include a small refrigerator. Its very good beds are ideal for resting after a busy day in the city - or just go to the sunny rooftop pool (with free towels) & bar. Negative points our room's air conditioning worked fine, but it clearly is and old (and thankfully not too noisy) machine. Besides ordinary breakfast items (such as different types of bread, meats and cheeses), the elaborate buffet includes various local sweets, warm dishes and lots of fresh fruit. The staff is kind and professional. A part from the hotel bar (also serving at the rooftop pool), there is a coffee & hot chocolate-machine free to use for the guests (up to 11PM).
