    Comfortable Modern Hotel

This was a nice modern hotel. It was clean and well appointed. The location was also very good and it was an easy walk to the downtown shopping area. We had a large corner room with a lovely view of the harbor. The windows were a little dirty, but that's hard to manage from the 8th floor. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. However the bathroom is seriously lacking in counter space. There was an excellent beer garden on site. If you have breakfast included you will not go hungry. It is a typical North American buffet style arrangement. I had a conference at the Hilton which is a comparable hotel, with perhaps an even more modern lobby and restaurant. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.

    Great Hotel

The Nordica is a great place to stay if you're visiting Reykjavik. It is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of good facilities. But I'd say that what really sets it apart is the staff, who were uniformly very helpful and friendly - from the Concierge to the cleaning ladies who helped us find out room. Terrific service. Food was good at breakfast, with plenty of choice, and we had a bar meal on one night which was also very good. It is a little out of town - about a 30 minute walk, but there are city bus stops outside. All the tour buses stop at the front door (or they send shuttle buses to take you to the coach pick up point) so we didn't find the location too bad. Besides, if you can get an upper floor room with a view of the hills the location is great! If I was coming back to Reykjavik, I'd definitely hope to stay at the Nordica, and would recommend it to anyone. And if it's good enough for Tom Cruise. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.

    Perfect Choice

The room was great, quiet, comfortable with all the amenities you expect plus some unexpected ones. We had a TV with English channels. The key card operates the lights. The bath tub was deep and luxurious with a towel warming bar. There was also a shower separate from the bath tub. The beds were very comfortable we requested for 2 single beds to get an extra comfortable sleep. The heating was perfect and the room had great windows that allied us to see some of the city. Parking was easy and free at night around the corner from the hotel. The hotel was close to shops and restaurants. The staff were knowledgeable about tours and cheaper places to eat. It was such a perfect choice.
