We had our FIRST and LAST visit 6/4 – 6/7/18 at the Flagship Oceanfront Hotel in Ocean City, MD. This is the first time I’ve ever posted a review, since I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A HOTEL WITH SO MANY PROBLEMS….I JUST HOPE TO BE ABLE TO HELP ANY OTHER UNSUSPECTING GUESTS MAKE A BETTER CHOICE to NOT COME TO THE FLAGSHIP OCEANFRONT HOTEL IN OCEAN CITY, MD, unless the BELOW LIST OF FAILURES is to their liking. 1ST, THE ROOM THERMOSTAT DOES NOT WORK, SO, when the A/C was on, it was always FREEZING. 2NDLY, and WORST of all, the DAILY MAID SERVICE is a joke….They knock on your door every morning at 9am to make-up your room…WHO WANTS MAID SERVICE AT 9AM WHEN YOU’RE ON VACATION….If you’re not there, you get NO MAID SERVICE...USE A TWO-SIDED DOOR HANGER (Make Up Room / Do Not Disturb)??? 3RDLY, we couldn't sleep with the door open to listen to the ocean waves, since the SCREEN DOOR WAS RIPPED and the “no see em” bugs would have eaten us alive. 4THLY, THERE ARE NO UMBRELLAS FOR CHASE LOUNGERS. 5THLY , PARKING IS VERY LIMITED….NOT ENOUGH SPACES CLOSE TO THE HOTEL…WE ENDED UP PARKING 2 – 3 BLOCKS AWAY. 6THLY, Obsolete TV Channel Guide & No instructions for TV/DVD Operation & DVD NOT EVEN HOOKED UP. 7THLY, HAD TO HAVE FRONT DESK BRING BALCONY TABLE (none there). 8THLY, THERE ARE STEPS TO MANEUVER LUGGAGE CARTS OVER, Husband Injured with Cart; RAMPS NEED TO BE INSTALLED. 9THLY, Table & 2 Chairs in Room UnUsable (table & chair wedged between TV cabinet. While this Hotel is in a GREAT LOCATION, I would suggest that the LOCATION is the ONLY THING going for this HOTEL. Since there are SO MANY OTHER GOOD HOTELS in Ocean City, MD, someone (the owner) should consider tearing this down and rebuilding…Just a thought!
