This hotel is very close to the underground, Great Western Road, with good access to the city centre and Byres Road. The hotel Guests were quiet and friendly. Room was very comfortable and the onsuite very clean and spacious. I liked the light in the shower... it was very bright. Service was most helpful and the staff were very cheery. We found the hotel very homely and we enjoyed our stay very much.Thanks. e

Stayed here on a rainy night where we were located on the top floor with a skylight and the sound of the rain hitting the window meant a poor night sleep, that coupled with the fridge which switched on and off continuously. The hotel is set out as two built houses with adjoining door, two staircases etc. We had two bedrooms and they were at top of opposite stairs. Stairs are steep and difficult to get suitcases up and down. Breakfast was included in price however two of the three of us had breakfast finished before the third was even served. Staff seemed very incompetent at getting breakfast orders together. There are better places to stay.

BED BUGS! Beware this hotel -- don't stay there!!! I was awakened in the night with bugs in the bed! The next morning I had bug bed bites all over my ankles!!! I told the Manageress and she accused me of lying; she immediately got the Assistant Manageress who also accused me of lying. I had to go to the Police who referred me to the Scottish Department of Environmental Safety and the Scottish Tourist Board. I reported the incident to both of these agencies and am waiting to hear back from them. Additionally, the Manageress (as she called herself) was a nasty little woman who hated Americans --she would mock me everytime I asked her a question. This hotel was a disaster; please tell your customers to NEVER stay there!

We booked two rooms, but got a room and a self-service room in a building next door. There's a pub across the street that was loud until the wee hours of the morning. Clerk was first-day on the job and check-in was cumbersome and too long.

The bed was terrible. You could feel all the springs in the mattress. I had to use all my bedding as a cushion. Otherwise it is a nice hotel. It is too bad they do not invest in some good mattress.

Good value for your money, within walking distance to bars reasturants etc. On the down side No private car park so parking can be a bit of a problem. Very clean Hotel. I would definately stay here again.

Very recommended. Nice and clean rooms, very comfortable. Need a car to go to city centre, but takes 5 minutes. Free parking spots on the street. Maybe there is also public transport, but we didn't use it.

The room was very small and at the top of a very narrow stairway on the 3rd floor with no lift. Lugging luggage upstairs was difficult. We arrived at 8am and the owner allowed us to ck into our room. That was nice as we had a long flight. The room was very clean but tiny. Hardly room to put our suitcases on floor. I liked the area. Close to Kelvingrove Park and subway.

The hotel was easy to find, next to a metro station, and in a good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful although the bar could do with some local bitters to go with the bottled lagers available. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Rooms were clean and a good size. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and colleagues.

At the rate booked on late rooms I found this hotel to be good value for money but may not be able to pay the rate charged to a colleague who stayed there as was business funded with a limit set on accomodation costsHeating was the only problem encountered as my room was very cold the first night but once staff were informed the problem was quickly resolved for the rest of my stay

It did what it said on the tin. It was very clean and perfectly adequate for a nights stay. It was also very handy for local bistros.

Brilliant location, 10 minutes walk from the Botanic Gardens, across the road is the River Kelvin and walks galore. Gibson Street and Byres road within easy walking distance provide a host of quality eateries to suit every budget. Half an hour's walk and you are in the centre of the City. For those averse to walking the underground is 3 minutes from the door (but I understand it doesn't run on a Sunday) and buses to the city centre are at the end of the road. This is my third stay at the Albion and, with iron, hairdryer, tea /coffee / radio alarm, television; together with reliable welcoming staff, it makes an overnight stay in the City a pleasure.
