Wander through the recreated 17th-century Dutch town of the Huis Ten Bosch theme park to see wooden windmills and meandering canals. It’s enhanced by seasonal floral displays featuring tulips, roses and dahlias, as well as traditional restaurants and leisure boats where you can enjoy a European-style atmosphere.

Sasebo serves as the gateway to Kujuku-shima, an archipelago of more than 200 hundred islands that scatter along the Kitamatsuura Peninsula. Embark on a boat trip to the main island of Kuro-shima, home to the striking brick church of Kuroshima Tenshudō, then explore the pristine landscapes of Saikai National Park.
